My apologies if you felt like I thought you were. My point was simply everyone is different. :)

Rape is not always a violent crime. When I was raped, it wasn't the least bit violent. However, I was tortured psychologically which is why 8 year old me didn't fight it. Though I might have gotten over it faster had it been violent, let's not pretend all rape is violent, because that is untrue.

Though let's not forget some of us were victimized over twenty years ago and it still negatively impacts our lives on a daily basis.

I'll allow it. Disclaimer- I have absolutely no authority of any kind in any place, so take my permissive nature with a grain of salt

"Either you're with us or against us!" "I will be neither." "Can he do that?" "He's religious, mate. I think it's a requirement. "

Watch a circumcision. Once you've seen it done, it changes everything.

It's not called Post-War Stress Syndrome.

Leverage our strengths? So if they hit me, I should hit them back?

I wish I was rich. I would make a film that flips the genders on principal.

Someone needs to Photoshop the names and images to men, post it elsewhere, then watch the shitstorm ensue. Once the feminists and white knights come out, reveal the original image and watch just how few people care at that point.

Well, Jesus kind of did bring the beating on himself. The crucifixion too.

They count the hour the washing machine is going as work. After all, they are doing laundry.

You know what? I like your reasoning. I'm going to go with that.

Actually, I don't watch anime. I just like how young Asian-women look. Plus, there's still a bit of submissiveness left over from previous generations, which appeals to the more aggressive side of me (which comes about from being abused as a child. .. long story). Plus, even the curvier ones (and I prefer curves) are significantly lighter than most American girls. I've had chronic back issues my whole adult life, so someone being.that lightweight in the bedroom would be very fun. Rest assured, m…

To be fair, the reasons I am attracted to Asian women are almost exclusively creepy.

This is the kind of logic that causes men who aren't the father to pay child support because it's in the best interest of the child. I love children, but they are only tiny humans. They should have no more rights or privileges than a full grown human.

I know this is men's rights, but do no women work on oil rigs anywhere? If we're about equality (the point of this sub, or so I thought) then we should be thinking about everyone.

Prostitutes aren't women? Prostitutes can't be raped? You're no safer in this situation. Best to just install two phones in your shower and call it a day.

If you read the article, you would see it was recommended to have follow-up texts after confirming it was consensual, such as talking about enjoying the time together. Consent can not legally be revoked after the fact, even if it sometimes happens. My first thought before reading the article was exactly what you said, but the suggestion of follow- up texts is reasonable and adds some level of protection if one person regrets it later and calls it rape to save face. Honestly, I think this is a re…

It's weird how a person who can't hold a job for reasons beyond their control might turn to theft or other crimes to get by. Our system isn't made to rehabilitate. It's designed to ensure people keep going back to jail.

Not that this was the point, but I'd rather my taxes go to birth control than 18+ years of food stamps, health care, and education of an unwanted child. A few pills are a lot cheaper.

Quite frankly, I don't give a shit who gets the credit, so long as the world becomes a better place.

We're dead broke all the time, but we get by. The point is simply that I would love to get handed $40k a year. If somehow it still wasn't enough, it's not like I couldn't keep working, something I already do. Even if alimony or child support are only $20k a year, when you add even a part time job into the mix, nobody would be going hungry.

I know. Just wanted to emphasize how much $40k a year is for one person. Even if it doesn't cover all basic living expenses (how could it not), combined with even a part time menial job, It would be enough.

Notice I said spouse, not wife. A spouse can be male or female. It is a gender-neutral term, one I used intentionally. I am far from being misogynistic.

Absolutely absurd. It shouldn't be about standard of living. It should be about making sure one's essential needs are met while the spouse looks for work and gets their own affairs in order.

Yeah, but it we mention that we have the same body image issues, we are told to man up.

The key there is short-term. Unfortunately, it rarely is, regardless of the gender making payments.
