It just makes me so happy seeing so many of these young, 18-22 year old women who are so intelligent and educated on these subjects. I was only exposed to the unconditionally sex positive liberal buzzfeed type feminism until very recently and it was so damaging for me as a teenager and young adult. It gives me hope that the culture is shifting, and seeing that many zoomer are not falling for the bs, and are forging a different path.

It’s even worse than that. She shared on one tik tok that she was raped by a black man relatively recently, and among her dad’s search results she found many specifically looking for videos of black men raping white girls. He’s literally jacking himself off to the thought out his fifteen years old daughter’s rape, and people really wanna act like calling that disgusting behavior out is “kink shaming.” Luckily she fully understands that it’s wrong and told him she never wants to see him again.

Ugh, I didn’t realize she was doing that— thanks for sharing. Are there any feminist creators you would recommend? Tbh I have such a hard time because most of the feminist creators I find whose opinions I mostly agree with are all super pro-porn/sex work and I find it really frustrating.

I used to be such a big fan of so many male celebrities, including several who have been outed as rapists/wife beaters. Now, Danny DeVito is the only one I allow myself to still have any investment in. He’s the only one who has yet to let me down.

This woman has a history of stealing other creators content word for word. Herspective on tik tok covered it a couple days ago (highly HIGHLY recommend following her if you don’t already).

Most men cannot be true friends with women, but HVM absolutely can, and tbh I think it’s a huge red flag when men do not have any women in their life besides family whom they aren’t fucking or trying to fuck. When I think of the few men I know whom I think of as HV, they all have a fair amount of female friends, and are much more aware of women’s issues, and proactive in striving to be an ally. When I tell them that a man mistreated me, they automatically believe me, and they’ve never tried to h…

It was like he had a death grip on her— it was really uncomfortable to watch. Especially knowing that she worked with alleged abuser Dan Schneider for years as a teen, and was instructed to do some really inappropriate shit on camera. That woman has been through too much, and the fact that the majority of the comments were shaming her outfit, rather than the man who groped her, and literally outright claiming that no one could blame the men for leering, when she dressed that way is so disturbing…

I had somehow forgotten about Ari getting groped on live tv— that was so gross, and definitely makes me more open to giving Pete the benefit of the doubt. I just rewatches that video and seeing the way she was leaning away from that man, and looking behind her for help was heartbreaking. And the way Bill Clinton was watching her sing made me feel like I needed a long shower— so gross.

My issue was that he focused a lot on how it isn’t fair that he hasn’t to put in work to touch a woman, and the gay guy “gets off on a technicality” and focused all on how it made him feel, without a word about the woman getting groped. I would hope that your more charitable interpretation is the correct one, because I’d like to have more faith in humanity, but after watching the clip twice now it still just comes off like he’s more concerned about the double standard for some men vs others than…

Eh, I didn’t really care for it, because he did largely frame it as something that’s not fair because he has to put in time with a woman to get permission to touch her, while gay men don’t— not that it’s unfair to the women these gay men are groping. He was making a good point, but for the wrong reasons.

A man who assaulted me has linked Jordan Peterson before and paid for backstage passes at a Ben Shapiro event, and I find that to be so embarrassing for him that it’s finally helping me to not be afraid of him anymore after all these years.

One of many benefits of being single for virtually my entire life, is never having to deal with guys who waited until I broke up with a boyfriend to reveal their true intentions. They make their intentions clear pretty quickly and drop me immediately if I’m not interested, and while it hurts being treated that way by anyone, I can’t imagine how much worse it would be coming from a friend of many years. That would be devastating to me.

This is giving me so many flashbacks to my pickme childhood, when I was so insecure and would posts lists making fun of things girls do on social media, and post pics posing in a way that mocked the way they posed for photos. When one of my best friends asked me to like her profile pic, rather than just fucking doing it, I asked why. I so hate the way that people (primarily women) are shamed online for caring at all about what anyone thinks, or caring about likes/followers whatever. Obviously it…

This behavior from men is fucking abhorrent and I hate how normalized it’s been. HVM don’t do this shit. Men are capable of being better— the vast majority just don’t want to, and society just lets them get away with it because “it’s just how men are”. It shouldn’t be so difficult for women to find HV male friends. It’s so frustrating.

Ugh, this makes me so sad. Having guy friends growing up made it easier for me to adopt FDS, but for the opposite reason. I was totally a pickme who prided myself on being “one of the boys” because I would hang out with a group of all men, but they always treated me with respect, never spoke poorly of women around me, and never tried to make a move on me. He is one of the worst manipulators I know, and it’s genuinely scary. I’m normally really good at spotting them too, and he still got me. He even eventually told me about how his dad is a manipulative POS, and how he sees that same ability in himself, and how it scares him, but he tries not to use it, because he hates his dad, and doesn’t want to be like him 🤡.

I think the only man in his twenties whom I’ve ever known who has read receipts on is an incredibly manipulative fuckboy who told me that he leaves read receipts on because he wants people to know when he’s ignoring them.

This doesn’t work for me because one of the main things that attracts me to guys in the first place is seeing them speaking up on issues that affect women/lgbtq/bipoc etc. That, and when I can tell that a guy is being nice to me not because he’s trying to fuck me, but because he’s genuinely nice to everyone, which tends to result in me crushing on the few men I come across who aren’t trying to pursue me lol.

I think LV. The HVM I know get seriously pissed off even just talking about this stuff, and this feels entirely void of emotion— just laying out the facts. I hope I’m wrong, but it doesn’t seem like he cares enough to push men to be better, just acknowledging how fucked things are for women, and saying what they should do if they’re smart. This gives off the vibe of the asshole who thinks he doesn’t have to change as long as he is self aware about being that way. At best, I think he maybe isn’t …

It would be a relief to know that someone else could learn from my mistakes 😅 obviously, a guy who is interested in you should want to get to know you, and not just talk about himself all night, but I wish I had known sooner how important it is to not just get swept up in the conversation, and let it flow wherever he leads it, without getting him to talk about himself. There definitely needs to be a balance, or it will make it very easy for the manipulators to hide what they are doing. Whereas, …

Wouldn’t it be pretty fair to say that hanging around women, pretending to be their friends, in the hopes that they will eventually fuck them, is LVM behavior? I would never judge another women for her personal boundaries, but for me, I wouldn’t feel comfortable committing to a man who is incapable of valuing a woman for her friendship, without wanting anything more. Obviously, men like that are extremely rare, which is why I’ve chosen to be single for the vast majority of my life, but if I stil…

I think this is why a lot of women end up with manipulative men too. We’re so used to men dominating the conversation, that when a man does ask us lots of questions, without talking about themselves, it feels so refreshing that sometimes it’s hard to notice that they’re doing it so they can learn more about you, without giving away anything about themselves, so they can figure out how to take advantage of you. Or maybe that’s just me 😅 when I think back on all the predatory and abusive men from …

I will never understand why people get so weird about this shit. I hold doors for people all the fucking time, because it’s easy, and a nice gesture. If a man never does small gestures for me, that’s a red flag. But I also personally think it’s annoying as shit and rude when I hold a door for a group of people, and there’s one man that just refuses to go in, and wastes my time by making a big deal out of it. I always wear makeup, and frequently get told that I look like a teenager, and I very rarely have men trying to help me, besides the 3’s. Maybe I have more of a resting bitch face than I realized lol. (I also think it could be a generational thing too, because all of the 1’s I know are under 30. They’re always either super gentlemanly and kind, or act like I don’t exist, because they know I won’t fuck them, and it’s usually the latter, unfortunately).

Yeah, I know people with OCD who have struggled with serious anxiety about death in particular, and they’re definitely not going around coming up with plans to murder people. Maaaybe if it was just the morbid obsession with her potentially dying in child birth, I could see why some may think that it could be coming from a place of extreme anxiety around death, rather than malicious intentions. I deal with a lot of furniture at my job (some I can easily lift, and some that I definitely can’t) and I’ve learned a lot about my male coworkers by how they act. Because they all either Will see me struggling with a big box that they could easily lift, and ignore me or even knock into me as they push past me. There is also no way that a man would enthusiastically consent to rape play if they are as anywhere near as repulsed by rape as they should be. I’ve seen so many posts over the years from men struggling because their significant other asked them to slap/choke/role play raping them, because they want to make their gf/wife happy, but they don’t feel comfortable abusing them. Society has failed all of us, and it’s only going to keep getting worse until people finally wake up.

Honestly, I’m not surprised. I always wanted to like that app, because it’s the only somewhat mainstream one that actually has match compatibility, and isn’t just based on a couple photos and a shitty bio that gives no solid info, but the people on there are just horrible and incapable of having a normal conversation with a woman, even moreso than the men on other apps.

I get them all the time when I’m posting regularly and it really bothers me. I don’t understand it either because I’ve gotten so much more conservative in my clothing on Instagram than I used to be. Yeah, they really think men are just simply incapable of being decent human beings who treat women with respect, help out with childcare, and have hobbies beyond porn addiction or video game addiction, but we’re the ones who hate them. If we believed literally all men were trash, we wouldn’t bother. But we know some are capable of better, so we hold them to a higher standard, rather than just accepting that they can’t even do the bare minimum. All the girls in my family went to the same male pediatrician, and he was great. And my male gyno has been seeing my mom for so long that he delivered all of her kids, and now we see him as adults, and have never had any issues with him. One of my best friends from high school, who is one of the few HV men I know, is also going to school to become a doctor. I know a dating coach who talks about this a lot, and she is very big on the idea that chemistry is something that grows over time. And often, that initial spark we feel can be a red flag, since it comes from a feeling of familiarity. Idk if I’m explain this well but basically when we have a dating pattern that is bad (like going after emotionally unavailable men) we feel that spark because it reminds us of past experiences with other men. So often when we don’t feel that spark, it’s because it’…

The nice girl part is so baffling to me. I feel like the general consensus here is that we’re too nice, and need to do a better job advocating for ourselves. Not that we’re obligated to have any partner we want just because we’re “nice”.

They also always call us incels, even though finding men who want to have sex with us is very clearly not the problem. At least if they said MGTOW, I’d understand, even though I don’t think it’s accurate, but we’re like the opposite of incels.

That is so fucked. I literally did not have friends in college exactly because of this and it was traumatic tbh. Imagine going through serious trauma as a teen with serious ptsd from sexual assault in a new environment surrounded by strangers, and every time you think you’ve met a group of people who seem nice, one guy in the group (or multiple in some cases) monopolizing your time, and being led to believe that you’ve found a group of friends finally, only to have the guy refuse to invite you along to group activ…

When I was in college I was always that girl who drank more than everyone else and yet still was looking after everyone else because, no matter how drunk I got, I couldn’t turn that part of my brain off, and most of the women at my college were still young and naive and didn’t understand how dangerous the world is for us. Men are really out here thinking they deserve to have the perfect relationship with a beautiful, cool girl mode just fall into their lap because they exist, while women will be out here looking beautiful and put together, being well-educated, funny, driven, introspective, constantly working on self improvement, and hoping that maybe they’ll find a man who treats them with the most basic sense of decency. The character is also not a bad guy. When a potential client tells him that he wants to “get in and get out” with the woman he’s interested in, Hitch publicly humiliates him and basically tells him to fuck off, and while he does manufacture the “meet cutes” for his clients, his focus is always on getting the men to be the best versions of themselves to attract a partner. People always say the 1 in 5 number is too high, but the MAJORITY of the women I knew enough to talk about this stuff when I was only 18/19 had already been assaulted at least once. And almost all of the perpetrators were their ex-boyfriends. It’s sick.

I didn’t even get an excuse, because I was an inexperienced teenager with no self esteem (largely because of him) so I didn’t challenge him on it. All I got was a pat on the knee and being told that I was adventurous after the fact 🤢🤢🤢

I literally have PTSD from a man doing this to me without my consent, and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever dealt with. Why anyone would want a Dick forced down their throat until they barf is BEYOND me.

Damn, I got virtually no male attention until literally a few months after my first assault. And it took me six months (when I had my first panic attack that was very obviously a trigger from the assault) before I even considered that something was wrong, and a full year before I realized that it was actually full blown assault. They picked up on it months before I even did. It really messed me up at the time too because I was only 18, and the guys who were pursuing me were all relationship guys…

The one I always got was “adventurous” and it made me fucking sick every time because that’s the word my rapist used to describe me after he assaulted me (and honestly that grooming attempt and word choice had a worse and longer lasting impact on me than the assault itself, bc my teenager self definitely internalized the idea that to be the open-minded/kinky woman every man wanted, I’d have to let them abuse me 🙃). It pissed me off so much too because there was nothing in my profile that indicat…

💯 I’ve said exactly this many times. The men I know who have been the most supportive of me and women in general are not the ones going around calling themselves feminists, with one or two exceptions, and those exceptions are men who are black and/or queer and support feminism because they’ve experienced prejudice themselves and have empathy for others who have had similar experiences. Most of the vocal straight white male feminists I’ve know have been some of the worst victim blamers I know (an…

I have had more men do outright abusive shit to me during sex without my consent than the number of men who have even legitimately attempted to give me an orgasm. And none have ever even gotten close to making it happen. Penetration has never even felt good for me before because the guys I’ve been with have put so little effort into foreplay, or been so bad at it (I also don’t think my BC helps tbf but my periods are god awful without it and the thought of getting pregnant is like my worst night…

I was your age when I first met the man who assaulted me, which drastically altered the course of my life, and I’ve thought so many times about all the things I wish I could say to my younger self. I’m so happy for you that you found the wisdom and strength to not go along with the bs at such a young age. It feels so good to know that this community can help younger generations to avoid making the same mistakes we did 😭

Yeah, the ones I know seem to have a good relationship and did save up for it, so I don’t know what they’re waiting for with getting married. The men in two of the couples I know are relatives who, as far as I know, are HVM (they certainly were raised to be) and their girlfriends are wonderful HVW, so idk if they just don’t put much value on marriage or what. But considering the financial advantages of getting married, I don’t see what the hold up is when they are all financially stable and are …

I definitely would have expected there to be a fair amount of neurodivergent women, but not so many with ADD or ADHD.

Omg I didn’t expect there to be so many other women with ADD/ADHD here. I have dealt with PTSD, anxiety, and depression in the past, but now it’s mostly just the ADD. It’s so comforting to know that there are this many other women here who can relate to the struggle 😭❤️

“Complaining about the intended audience” 🥴 they really think women go to the gym to perform for them 🤢 Slightly different situation since it’s not the gym, but when I went to parties in college, I had to start wearing brightly colored lipstick because so many strange would be pining me down and trying to make out with me unprompted. For years, I rarely wore makeup, and would wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt around campus because I was so wore down by men who thought that me existing and wearing…

They can thank their porn addictions for that. I believe I’ve have more men choke me either with their dick or their hand than go down on me. When the best case scenario is a guy basically ignoring the clit, and just jack hammering away until he’s done, without doing anything outright violent, it’s hard to see the appeal in sex with men. After finding this sub, the new rule I’ve developed for myself is that i won’t let a man put his dick anywhere near me until he’s proven that he can make me org…

I’m honestly a bit baffled by the amount of unmarried couples I’ve been seeing recently buying houses together. I had always bought into the idea of sharing an apartment in a relationship before I found FDS (especially because I think I’ve always assumed subconsciously that I wouldn’t be able to afford to live alone— what a surprised that I ended up living at home and working a minimum wage job after getting a bachelors degree from a well respected college, with that mindset 😩) but even before f…

Thanks! There’s so many factors over the course of nearly a decade that it’s hard to give a simple answer (especially since a large part of what helped improve my mental state was getting on several medications for a physical and neurological issue) but I think the biggest thing that’s helped me recently besides finding this sub is getting in shape, which I started working on in March. The mere fact that I set a goal and stuck with it definitely helped my confidence a lot, as well as getting str…

Honestly, I think the biggest thing that this sub has made me realize is just how many sociopaths are out there. I cannot even begin to imagine what it’d be like to realize your husband is a sociopath pulling this kind of shit while going through a cancer diagnosis at 26 and chemo. This poor woman. A few months ago I was still crying myself to sleep at night, wondering what was so wrong with my that I could only ever find men who wanted to have sex with me (or rape me) and worrying that I would …

They probably think they’re the next Hugh Hefner tbh 🤢 and seeing the huge age gaps so often in film probably doesn’t help.

Okcupid kills me because it’s the only mainstream app that factors in compatibility, but the people on it are all just so terrible. Given the men on all dating apps are horrible, but I could at least find a few who seemed decent on the other apps. It’s like no man on okcupid has ever had a conversation with a woman before.

Although I don’t believe I was familiar with FDS at the time, I definitely followed FDS guidelines by ignoring him lol. Had no idea who he was and still don’t (although I’m guessing he just has followers because people like his tweets?)

The thing that gets me about these stories is that they’re never even a reliable indicator. There couple be plenty of reasons why the girlfriend wasn’t attracted to or interested in the friend that have nothing to do with an unwillingness to cheat. Men really think they’re so irresistible simply for existing.

This was my first (and last) relationship in a nutshell. And I found out after we got into a relationship that he had only seen a few episodes of the shows we bonded over, and just knew all the references 🤦‍♀️

The fact that women are the ones who get painted as “bitchy” and “catty” when men regularly say shit like this to women who are supposed to be the love of their life really says it all. Hope she dumps his ass ASAP.

This is exactly the reaction I had when I found this sub too. I would give anything to go back in time to talk to my younger self, when I was in so much pain and making so many bad choices, because I’d been so badly hurt by men and didn’t know how to cope. I try to remind myself of how remarkable it is that I’ve turned my life around completely in such a short time, largely because of this sub, but it’s hard not to think about how different my life would be now if I had had the tools at a younge…
