How does that argument matter? Plenty of men work for men. Everyone can’t be a business owner. Some people have no desire to own a business. As the only woman at my company in a very male dominated field there are plenty of mundane tasks the men I work with and for like to dump on me like I’m their office wife when I have plenty of actual work that needs to be done.

Was he in arrears? Or has he gone back to the court to argue that it’s too much? I get some insane child support orders at work and I always tell these guys to call and get a hearing on it. 90% of the time it gets knocked down significantly. Our guys make around $2400 gross and I don’t have a single one paying more than $600 a month, even the guys with multiple orders on there. Average CS is around $100 a week for us.

Ugh yes, as a woman, it is 100% men that argue with me about this. My husband all his brothers are pro circumcising. I’m the only woman at my job and have had weirdly in depth conversations with my male bosses about this. They bring up the ONE uncircumcised guy in their middle school and how they still think about his dick 20 years later. They didn’t want their sons being made fun of the way they tortured this poor boy. Where are all these anti circumcision men I’d love to be around them! I alwa…

This is the comment of a man who’s been spreading HPV without knowing it. You realize you probably wouldn’t have any symptoms? You realize women lie? You only sleep with virgins? You get tested before every sexual encounter? And just because the one girlfriend you’ve (n)ever had didn’t have issues with the pill, doesn’t mean every woman is fine with it. They almost killed me so some douche with your attitude wouldn’t even make it past my zipper.

Yeah there was another one with a guy trying to workout at a very clearly designated workout “playground” like they have on the beach in CA. The mine kept harassing him for stalking their kids or something? He was asking how to workout without issue and people just kept telling him to go at like 4:00am to avoid the mothers. Dude can’t even workout near women and children without being made out to be a creep.

You definitely can’t disagree. You have to make shit up or pick the pettiest thing to complain about to “fit in” with the conversation. It’s exhausting. My husband doesn’t do anything that “pisses me off” on a daily basis. Sure I wish he’d organize the silverware in the dishwasher better, but it’s not the hill I’m dying on. My it’s my go to “complaint” when they’re saying how much they hate their spouse. Then I get to hear the men do the same at guys night. Like, why did you guys get married? I’…

And to act as if women don’t also ogle men at the gym is hilarious. Every time my husband comes home he bitches about multiple people staring at him the whole workout. When he was working out from home during strict lockdown both wives across the street would come outside and watch him. It’s gross.

The only time I get mad about video game issues are when men make a big deal when there is even the OPTION to play as a woman in a game. I don’t mind playing games that don’t offer me the option, but if the option is there I almost always pick the woman. You can still play as a man, so why do you care so much that the option exists? I know there are way less women who play, I’m the only one I know who does, but it’s not that big of a deal to have the option, even if it is “immersion breaking” or…

I would say, from my personal experience, not so much. I learned a lot about men from other men. My mom and other women in my family did NOT give me a good idea of how to be a decent partner. Most of my life growing up was hearing complaints about men being lazy, absent, not doing xyz thing they thought the men should be doing. No one mentioned that maybe dad didn’t do many chores because he worked a physically demanding job for 16+ hours a day. Or how to bring up dividing chores fairly without …

It’s the same with my husband and I. He “asks” if he can golf or go to the casino, but his asking is more him just making sure we didn’t already have plans. He’s welcome to do as he pleases. Unfortunately not the same for many of his friends. One of his friends wives has a GPS tracker on his phone (yikes), so he either has to let his battery die or leave his phone with me at my house because he’s not allowed to go anywhere without permission. Another friend only gets limited days per year he’s a…

I never understood the logic either. As a woman, unless I’m bent over or on the ground legs spread, you’d barely see literally anything but skin if you were to pants me. I’ve had my bias accidentally walk in on me in the bathroom (only woman there, he wasn’t used to having to knock on the women’s door) and I wasn’t that worried, I know he couldn’t see anything and he was probably more scared than I was. On a guy, you’ve got a whole dick and balls just right there. No hiding that. It’s fucked.

I agree with you about women who behave that way. So many of my fiancé’s friends wives will get together and literally shit talk their husband the whole time, about every single thing. Then they stew in their hatred. Then I’m put on the spot to join in their “commiseration” and have to be like “uhhh, yeah I hate when he leaves his underwear in the bathroom!” Because if I don’t say something bad they talk shit about me when I leave. But I don’t really have anything bad to say? And if I did I woul…

As a woman, this would frustrate me to no end. I work my ass off, and feel I should just be promoted based on my work performance. If I found out this was the reason I got a huge promotion it would sort of devalue all the work I did. Like that episode of 30 Rock where Toofer finds out he was just an affirmative action hire and quits.

And are you saying this child, who is fully capable of forming real long term memories as well as a spike in their basal response is BETTER? That’s the part that makes no sense. Either say they equally suck or admit that having a true conscious memory of the event might be more impactful.

But there are absolutely men who WANT to circumcise their sons. My boss told me he made fun of the uncut kid in his class so hard he switched schools. And because of that he made sure his sons were cut. My fiancé said he would want to circumcise a son if we had one because he doesn’t want the kid to be “different” than him. Yes there are obnoxious women out there, but if more men demanded it to stop and didn’t go along with it willingly it would also help. Once we get past the “it’s weird becaus…

We he only one I can argue is the pants. Men’s pants do not fit at the waist the same way women’s do. I wear men’s pants for work and can’t stand it, I’d never wear them personally. Though when I do wear “women’s jeans” I usually have a purse or just hold my phone in my hand like a loser. And those jeans have decent back pockets, just shit front ones. Designers could easily add deeper pockets, I got a pair from express I swear we’re made wrong because I can fit my whole hand in my front pocket!

I can lift 35 pounds no problem. Just because I can’t lift 80 pounds means I can’t lift 35 pounds? Is a ream of paper too much? If I struggle I don’t lift or ask for help, but if it’s something I’m more than capable of lifting myself what is the issue? There are guys that need help lifting the same exact thing but my boss doesn’t micromanage every item they pick up for being a liability. How about I lift what I can and don’t lift what I can’t - like every other human I work with. You can’t tell …

We joke about that a ton! He would love to be a stay at home dad but I don’t know that either of us would be able be stay at home parents - it’s so expensive! But I’m always in support of couples who work as a team. Though I know my circle is a bit different I know plenty of people who stick to the regular gender norms, and I know plenty of women who exclusively date “up” or just quit their jobs once their man was making enough, even if they have no children. That’s even weirder to me, what do y…

I’d say it depends on the company. I work in the aftermarket transmission industry - I’m a woman. I’m the only one I know in my field that actually works with the parts, not just making sales from a computer. I’m perfectly capable of lifting I’d say 95% of the parts I sell. I weigh 110 so anything over like 75 pounds gets pretty tough for me to lift but I don’t have to much. However, this doesn’t stop my bosses from saying I’m “not allowed” to lift a 35lb torque converter. You really expect me t…

I must be in a weird friend circle because we have 5 couples and 3 of them the woman makes more. I used to make more and bought us a house, lost my job and now he makes a bit more but I should be closing the gap soon. You basically said all men should be cut because you had a problem that a very small percentage of men would have? Would the comparison of removing the clitoris of all women because a small percentage of women have overly sensitive clits causing pain or spontaneous orgasm interfering with daily life make more sense?

Have kind of a weird work environment but this topic came up at work. Every man was pro circumcision while I, the only woman, was against it. Their main argument was that they knew a british kid in elementary school who wasn’t cut and they made fun of him as sock dick and therefore all men should be circumcised. I didn’t even really know what to say to that, but I did ask why they spent so much time thinking about another kids dick but they had no answer.

My fiancé got into bodybuilding a few years ago and I think it has absolutely made his self esteem worse. You don’t have your show body more than a few days at a time, and ever since he’s seen how he looks then he wants to look like that all the time. He calls himself fat constantly. I mean, he’s far far from fat. I try to encourage him with natural comments but my opinion won’t change his of course. I will gladly pay the bill, but if someone specifically offers to “take me out to dinner” that sort of implies they are paying for dinner. If we’re just going out to dinner together that’s a bit different. But now I’m engaged so it is what it is. I pay for almost all of the groceries (and he bodybuilds) so I have 0 shame expecting him to pay the one night a month we go out to eat as I’m the one with the shit end of this deal!

I’m not sure if it comes down to that or not. What I experienced is that there’s a ton of women who join for the job, and the desire to serve their country. And they kick ass at PT, work their asses if to prove themselves. I loved working with these women! But you do get the typical “office woman” who is all about causing drama, playing favorites, gossiping, and really just want attention. They end up in a unit that’s a lot of guys, and they’re the only girl. Even if they’re not interested in da…

Oh man I spent 6 months in Iraq with our infantry company and it was so nice. Sure there were some inappropriate comments but it was also that kind of environment. Fun story as a female supporting men’s rights. When I was in the army I had a stupid fuck up at basic training. Naturally I was called out a lot. The male drill sergeants would just yell, or say I wasn’t going to be able to support my team, or make me to physical tasks (getting “smoked.”) typical army basic training shit. The female drill sergeants on the other hand ALWAYS mentioned my looks. They would call me daddy’s girl, tell me I used my looks to get whatever I want in life, that I was just…

As a girl I don’t think it’s that we can’t, but that we don’t. A lot of us are raised to keep quiet or do what we are told to be lady like. I know that’s how my parents raised me. When I started working I was timid, scared, and just let people walk all over me. After I joined the military I learned to hold my own and speak my mind, and it’s been amazing for me back in civilian work. I’m not afraid to ask for what I deserve, or ask for help if I need it, or delegate tasks. My dad and mom just rai…

The guys at my work even do this! They complain every day about not getting raises, but did you even ask? I’ve never been given a raise just because, I’ve always had to compile a list of all the new work I’ve done, or sales I’ve made, and pitched it to my bosses. It’s always worked. No one is just going to hand you money. If they can pay you the same wage for 4 years because you don’t speak up about it I don’t know how that’s the boss’s problem. Ask! Worst they say is “not right now,” best case …

My fiancé lost his virginity at 13 to his 20 year old baby sitter. He tells me he has no issue with it because he was all about it. That’s fine that you are okay with it. But she was 7 years older than you. An adult, you were for sure a child. She was in a position of power over you. She never should have done that. If this had been a girl and a grown man the reaction from everyone would be a lot different I am sure. It just makes me sad and I hope I can make a difference if I have sons.

Or they're just around men. After being in the army and now working in the automotive industry and going to school for business, meeting other women is really challenging. My best friend is female, but most of my acquaintances/friends are male because that's who I spend time with. And you also wouldn't be alive if women didn't exist. I understand your fear, but not all women are like this. As a woman, I may get heat here but whatever. It's supposed to be used when a man tries to explain something to a woman she knows how to do already, and he makes it seem like he's helping her. There was a scene in True Blood (lame I know) where Eric is trying to shut down a security system and he keeps telling his sister to try x,y,z. She tells him she already did, he says I doubt it or something. She then asks if he knows a system he's never seen before better than she does, when she designed it. I totally get where you're coming from. I was just sharing my personal experiences, and I knew a few others who did the same thing just to get it over with and walk away. But completely agree that if the divorce is no-fault alimony should be waived. Just because 70% file doesn't mean it's always the woman. In my case my ex cheated, then admitted to never loving me, I didn't want a drawn out divorce, and he was too lazy to fill out the paperwork. It never would have gotten done if I didn't do it. I didn't want his money either, just that stat is bound to have issues like this involved.

As a woman browsing this men's rights sub I have to agree. I work my ass off at my job and I know I make more than every male I work with (that isn't salaried, as I am hourly). The women crying wage gap are the same ones who flirt with every guy at work, then report sexual harassment the second they make an advance at them. Also the same women who spend most of their day gossiping or, again, flirting, instead of working. How about work hard and prove yourself and get paid for that?
