Other men perpetuate that attitude, but the root cause is that women have guided (and will continue guiding) men to behave that way through mate selection. It's the same for any typical male behavior. Men can try to solve the problem on their own by how they treat each other, but women decide who to have children with (and therefore women control which propensities are genetically perpetuated, thereby influencing future societal norms).

Look at "Claim 5" in the article that was snapshotted in this post. You can read the abstract and conclusions of the studies it links to. The results include men as well. I don't like when people post this imaged shit instead of linking the actual article. Because when you snapshot the article, you can't easily view the studies it's referring to.
