And he gave it to you, or at least, he was about to, until you signaled to him that you wanted all his information served to you on a silver platter as you shittily implied to him that the author was not worth reading.

Until now, you’ve been asking for a source to PROVE ops point. MY point is that there is NO source to prove that. Maybe it’s because OP’s opinion is not sophisticated enough to merit a source worth convincing anyone. That’s why it’s an opinion. So unless you want to grow a brain and tell OP why he’s wrong, there is no point to splitting hairs between the word “source” and “proof” when to you they obviously mean the same thing.

It’s not my point.. I was saying there’s no way you could prove it definitively

No, of course not. If you don’t have it then why the fuck would I have it

There is no excel sheet or research paper that could empirically prove that. Almost all evidence is anecdotal and you have to form your own opinion. Obviously.

This is a good observation. I appreciate the competitive spirit to be your best self and giving everything a shot. This is the best path to success. That being said, men should not adopt a competitive attitude with the opposite sex. Men and women are fundamentally different in how they approach romance. Creating a strategy for attracting a partner appears glaringly constrained and obvious in men. Men are appreciated for their spontaneity, independence and self-reliance. Leave strategies to caree…

I just don’t see why people should be punished for not loving someone anymore if they’re gonna divorce anyway (if there are no kids involved). Yeah I can see the sacrificial aspect of commitment deepening the love, but when there are so many cases where the breadwinner is cheated on and half their money gets taken, I can see how it’s not worth it. But if someone gets married to their love and their commitment is written in the walls, then sure why not, I see nothing but pluses if it enhances the…

Then why get married? Marriage does not equal love. Correlation is not causation. But you appear to be operating under the understanding that marriage is good for financial purposes. If so, we’re in agreement.

You didn’t answer my question. Given that we agree divorce sucks, give me one good reason, aside from financial stability/having kids, why people should get married for the sake of love. Edit: That kind of suggests that you think men have nothing to offer women but their paychecks. Here’s you contradicting yourself

My question is why do you even need the marriage to verify the love to begin with? Do you realize how absolutely fucked up a person’s life can get after a divorce? People go into severe debt over a failed marriage. My point is that it’s not wrong to get married. But there are huge, irreversible downsides to it. And if we’re being honest then yes marriage is a good thing for financial stability, curbing infidelity, and securing a nest egg for women who raise children if things go south.

If you’re talking about the importance of looks strictly in terms of sexual desirability, no matter how old, women will never not be able to get laid, barring some kind of severe mental illness. It might get harder over time, but looks are secondary to companionship. Looks are also subjective. The implication of what you’re saying is that women need to get married because their looks will go, as if men don’t need something from women other than sexual youth. What isn’t secondary to anything is h…

If a woman were to make a true attempt to be open and honest about what they want: out of life, out of men, or otherwise, I appreciate and respect whatever effort put into that. It takes a great amount of mental effort and guts to understand and express yourself for an ounce of actual truth. Especially considering it’s easier to just give into daily temptations and take life passively. Does that mean I will automatically be in a relationship with them or have sex with them? No, of course not. In…

I absolutely agree. Marriage used to be a ritual that ensured lifelong chastity and financial security for the woman/kids. With contraception, women no longer need to be chaste. Gender equality means that women are now financially independent. Technically, all that men really offer to women now is the ability to reproduce, aside from the obvious companionship and intimacy. All marriage offers now is child protection and an elusive narrative of true love. At the end of the day, all us men really …

Feminism curdles history so that some social norms of the past are deemed 'sexist' and primitive. In either case, we are not aware of what really happened because we weren't there. Because nobody today was actually 'there' when most of history happened, is it possible that many of the great women's works were either lost in time due to a dominant male intellectual society or simply were not created since women were still preoccupied with the household? I'm aware that this sounds like concern tro…
