It's not entirely logical, because why would you marry the man who you can't be yourself fully with? Essentially that's agreeing to hide away part of yourself until the end of your life, or until the relationship ends, whichever comes first.

Thanks for the insightful response. I appreciate it. Out of curiosity, why would a woman marry someone she doesn't feel enthusiastic about sexually? How is that any different from marrying your totally platonic best friend? To me it seems to defeat the purpose of marriage. Granted age brings its limitations, but if the woman has no intentions of engaging in that type of sex with her current partner, why bring it up to him instead of a friend? Okay that one makes sense, she starts respecting hers…

True, people do change, for various reasons. And you're right, I am clueless about why, which is why I asked the question. Not to judge anyone or hate or shame, but to be enlightened

That's a new way of putting it. True I didn't look at it from the lense of it being growth. But I also wanna know though, why wouldn't she want to revisit these acts in a relationship where she feels safe and secure and knows to some extent that she is?

I get that part of it, but there are comments from guys whose reality this is. This is their experience

Wouldn't it change if you're comfortable with your partner? Wouldn't the person want to explore these things (reasonably) with the dynamic they have with their partner?

True, but I'm curious, if there is security and trust in the relationship wouldn't the woman want to give it a go again with the hope that it will be better this time and deepen a connection that matters to her?

There isn't any personal reason for why I want to know this. I am just genuinely curious about why this behavior occurs. I'm not looking to coerce anybody, just looking for patterns and similar behaviors if there are any. As far as women wanting any particular act to feel satisfied, sometimes they just don't want to partake in the act anymore so it isn't entirely true that she will always want the act

If I may posit a theory, it's because women, while they are single (regardless of age) are in competition with one another to see who gets married first and who get married to the best man in their group. This mostly unconscious and since most of female competition is subtle, they can maintain what outwardly looks like a friendship, while covertly being at war. When they get married, there tends to be less subtle warfare between them. There is less spreading of rumors about other women, less com…

Could just be where you live or the people you surround yourself with, maybe even content you consume. Because every guy I know (myself included) wants kids and a family

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
