Let's say you've only had one girlfriend and you haven't fucked her. How many times have you kissed her? We'll say 1000. That tells me next to nothing about your level of experience with women. How many times have k-closed her? Basically once. That makes no sense. "How many times have you kissed her?" and "How many girls have you kissed?" cover the same material.

Someone recently posted about how many more okCupid notifications (includes messages as well as just profile views) they received in a single night after bumping up their income level.

I agree with your first statement, but then it sounds like his approach is taken seriously. In my opinion his character is completely satirical (and being played by a gay guy adds to the satire). Barney is the anti-PUA because he's generally corny as hell. He's also corny as hell because he uses generic Hollywood techniques, but I think it's intentional. The group knows it's corny; they make fun of him. Girls at the bar slap him. We see his successes, we see his failures, but only Marshall graph…

I think calling dressing well "a costume" is ridiculous. For starters, I didn't. An argument of sorts could be made for it, but I neither made it nor intend to in this post. I also never mentioned WAYWT, nor did I say "r/mfa is all costume." What is absurd is misquoting, though I'll accept it as a misunderstanding. Also, the French word for suit is costume. But I won't read too much into that. I think the confusion lies in the fact that we're to believe that dressing nice is simply that, dressin…

To me, styles like this are akin to punk fashion (among dozens of other types of fashion I should add). I don't mean this referring to punk style as a fashion (eg kids trying to be cool by adopting punk aesthetics into their wardrobe), I'm including the die-hard punks in this group as well. This style, and most found in r/malefashionadvice, is, in my opinion, nothing more than a costume. I don't think of it as "dressing nice," I think of it as a specific niche fashion. I used punk as my example …

I tried to explain to someone that, statistically, yes, I probably have something. It's almost impossible not to after you've been with X number of people (X being a non-zero number). That conversation didn't go well.
