If your GF is just wanting to experiment with another girl, that doesn't mean she is willing to see/allow you to have anal sex(or even kiss) with this other friend. Totally agree, and you're right -- she would not be happy in the slightest to see that, at least not for a while. The one thing I'm NOT going to do here is move quickly -- My plan is to get them in a situation where they're comfortable with each other. Honestly I don't even expect to be involved for quite a while. Making plans, like …

You're going to try to land girls while your girlfriend is away for the summer? Getting laid or not, that's pretty shitty. Land girls? Hardly. I want feel comfortable approaching and talking to them. Right now, I don't. Work out, read, etc. Set and meet goals. I already covered both of those above. I am diligently working on bettering myself. My goal is to improve my confidence. What's with the negativity? I'm trying to become a better person while still being respectful.

He needs to confront this dilemma head on: do I want to cherish this one girl or fuck multiple women in my reproductive prime? Man, that is a bitch of a question. I have a feeling you're right, though...

I like how you framed that. This is definitely the sort of thing I'm looking for -- some of the other replies seem to imply I'm looking for a silver bullet; I feel like I'm really just looking for a good mindset to approach this with. This helped. Thanks.

I appreciate the reply -- do you have any suggestions about how I might deal with the social aspects of this? i.e. I don't really want to be introducing new women to my social group, especially when so many of them are close friends with my girlfriend. I can already tell I've got a lot of work ahead of me just getting over the mental block of approaching a girl with full knowledge that I've already got a girlfriend, but I guess I can work on that last one.

I was always under the impression that oneitis was fawning over one particular girl, usually from a perspective of never getting her. I've been living with this girl for 3 years and we have a fantastic relationship. The issues I'm dealing with have to do with well-defined aspects of my own confidence, and at no point did I mention anything about my girlfriend other than I would like to keep the relationship we have built together. You wouldn't tell a guy that he has oneitus about his fiancée, wo…

As much as I'd like to be snarky in response to your shaky metaphor, I'll instead rephrase my issue in the hopes that you can contribute something: I'm very happy in my current relationship. However, I am not confident when approaching a girl and starting a conversation. I would like to do what I can to solve the confidence issue while still maintaining the relationship that I value greatly, which is made overly difficult due to me knowing a lot of people in a small town. I don't feel that these…
