Sorry for the incredibly late reply. You make a great point. My uneducated opinion is that it's a moot point, though: Because of common law marriage, if you're living in the same house, raising kids, you're married as far as the law is concerned. I'm no lawyer, but doesn't that mean you have to go through a divorce (in which she gets half your shit) anyway?

Wow, sorry for the late reply. I had to take a bit of a break to let the douchebaggery die down. I'm 5'9", and make a little less than 6 figures. I don't think either of these are exceptional.

Do you really want to split hairs like this? There are many different definitions of the term. Get a life.

Excellent. The fact that you're able to commit to a good diet and lots of exercise is an enormous step. If you had said that you weren't willing to commit to your own physical changes, then I'd say there's almost no chance of you getting your wife to change her habits. The harder you work on yourself, the more attractive you'll be physically, and that will lead to even more confidence for you. Flirting with waitresses while your wife watches, an ability to say no to the late snacks, etc. will wh…

Okay, I'll rephrase. I believe it's beyond irresponsible to have kids outside of marriage. I will not do it. You can do whatever you like.

If you want me to explain more about how I do it, why don't you just ask me? If you read around on here, I'm doing my best to provide good answers to questions. I had to start somewhere on TRP. That somewhere was explaining what I've accomplished.

I've been reading your comments this morning. To say you've had a bad time with marriage would be a bit of an understatement. I'm sorry to hear that your experience has been so shitty (and shall I say tragic?). I'm sure you don't give a shit about my sympathy. I just feel sad for how hate filled you are. Yes, the marriage laws suck. That doesn't mean everyone needs to heed your advice and stay away from marriage. I hold the mindset that my marriage will not end up like yours. Maybe it will end u…

What's your question? I see lots of possibilities given our comments: Why do I want to start a family? Why do I want kids? Why do I think it's a good idea to get married before having kids?

Alpha, red pill, enlightened, awakened, etc. They're all words for the same thing. No, I don't call myself alpha in real life. If you were in my position, knowing how anti-marriage TRP is, you might have made the same decision I did and do a bit of chest puffing to get people's attention and buffer the blow from people exactly like you. During my lurking, I've seen lots of married guys get ripped up in here. I knew this was the fucking lion's den. Chill out.

Thanks for the personal insult. Some day you might want to have kids. You might decide, like I did, that feminism's damage to humanity will take generations to repair. You might just have to face the music like I did. I didn't want to remove myself from the gene pool when there is obviously a lot of work to be done. I'm not asking you to get married. I'm saying that marriage doesn't have to be as shitty as you think. It doesn't have to be shitty at all.

Do you think I would get married just to please my girlfriend? Wow. I want to be in the position to start a family. I want kids. I have to get married if I'm going to have kids.

Since I don't know your exact situation, here's some general advice from a bunch of different angles: It definitely starts with you taking good care of yourself. You should be going to the gym 3 times a week or more, and either showing improvement from month to month, or maintaining a high level of fitness. I know many will disagree, but in my opinion, if you expect your girl to be actively fighting for your attention, you need minimal body fat, a six-pack, and relatively cut arms. I'm not sayin…

Who had 8 kids? I'm all for getting a divorce once the kids move out. ...but it's borderline child abuse to have a shitty, adulterous marriage while kids are around. Or to get a divorce and use the kids as leverage, or to sire kids, GTFO, and never take care of them. If you do one thing for your kids, show them that you can work your ass off to make a marriage work, for THEIR sake. Show them that people sometimes go to incredible lengths to provide for others. My parents did that for me. Yours p…

I agree with all of this. ...but I don't need a seriously binding contract to keep myself or my wife faithful. If you're doing the right things, you don't need a contract at all. Maybe the problem here is that people are relying on the system (and oh what a gloriously fucked up system it is!) to show them the way, rather than learning for themselves what makes a marriage work.

Interesting. I guess the way you could look at it is that marriage is for bringing up kids. Get married, stay faithful for your wife for 18-20 years, until the kids move out. ...then get a divorce.

Well, for starters, you gotta pick one that's adventurous and willing to try new things. I've been adventurous with my wife, but I've always kept a few ponies in the stable: Anal. Very rarely do we hit it. We both love it, but I don't want to get bored of it. Video taping. We haven't done that yet, but I know she's down. Saving that for some future dry spell. Adding another woman. Certainly a possibility. Maybe we'll do that sometime. So all I can really say is that I've done some due diligence …

You're exactly the kind of guy I'd like to get to know. Tell me a little about yourself and your marriage.

If you convince her that she still needs to compete for you, everything kinda works itself out. In my opinion, that's really all you need to focus on. Big edit: There are stages of "fit" for women. Many women can be in incredible cardio shape (and be technically healthy), yet have those few extra unsightly pounds on them. I'm talking about an exceptional body. The kind that takes a serious internal motivation (like giving up sweets and whatnot). Attraction and competition are powerful internal m…

You're putting a metric shitload of words in my mouth. I, sir, am an alpha male who is capable of effortlessly dominating my desirable wife I never said what I'm doing is effortless. It's a lot of work. I therefore find your aversion to marriage wholly irrational I never said the aversion is wholly irrational. I do think marriage is necessary if we want to undo the damage that feminism has caused to humanity. Pardon me if I came her with a bit of a defensive position. I already know that TRP gen…

Oh, I forgot to answer your question about discovery. My friend introduced me to David DeAngelo's Double Your Dating DVDs just after I graduated from college. I was in the middle of a 4-year relationship with my college girlfriend, who was 2 years younger than me, so she was still in college and I was IRL. I was just doing what I had always done, which is treat women "nicely". Looking back, it was fucking pathetic, but I just didn't know any better. The DYD stuff just made sense to me and I abso…

My wife's shit tests are (and never really were) that big of a deal. She's living the dream. She's madly in love. There are still parts of the female condition that poke through every once in a while, though. Let me think... Ohhh, this is a big one. She never had a garage for her car when growing up, so she never really learned the rules about garaged cars. After years of hard work, I built my garage, and it's a fucking glorious man cave, with porn on the walls, beer in the fridge, and tools. TO…

I completely understand where you're coming from. Marriage is a situation where males (notice I didn't say men) rarely come out on top. I was right where many of you are, though. I had women figured out. I had no need to settle down. ...but I did (and still do) want a family. Deep down, I guess I didn't know for sure if I was going to be able to make my marriage work and keep my alpha status. I didn't know if I'd be able to keep my wife attracted to me enough that she forced herself to keep her …
