CMV: Most young men would benefit greatly from going on as many dates as possible.Sounds like a huge waste of time. That’s like paying to interview for and work a different job every other week only to get fired or quit in the first few days before you even learn anything. After a few of those any sensible person would get the gist of it and switch to a real career with positive compensation and a future. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/02/26 02:18 AM
Young Men's Perception Of What Responsible Masculinity Looks Like, And Women's Perception Of Men In General Are Distorted.Yeah, unfortunately. Fucking idiots | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/02/26 10:54 AM
Young Men's Perception Of What Responsible Masculinity Looks Like, And Women's Perception Of Men In General Are Distorted. If people knew how to think independently based on sound logic and basic ethical principles, this wouldn’t be a problem. Movies and TV are nothing but entertainment and form of art and viewing it as anything more is easily misleading. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/02/26 09:55 AM
Does one ever recover from missing experiences as a youth?I started after college and wish I’d have waited even longer. I miss that innocence. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/12/25 04:19 AM
Women are more attracted to social status than social skills. This isn’t a research institute, this is Reddit where pretty much everything is anecdotal. Regarding preconceptions, i was assuming those facts about background were actually true. If we’re considering things like education and ability as social status, then yeah it’s obviously relevant. The social status I’m talking about is valuing people (and yourself) based on how much other people like you or know you (I.e. popularity). Big difference in the two. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/11/25 04:42 PM
Women are more attracted to social status than social skills. No but the reasons for why one is a politician and one is a janitor are what they’re really judged on. The janitor probably has no education and no real skill, while the politician obviously has something going for him and is at least charismatic enough to get by if he’s also a dumbass. If we’re talking money, then let’s not confuse financial status with social status, because financial status obviously matters. Also I’m not using myself as a statistic, but revealing my perspective. It would be … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/11/25 03:06 PM
Women are more attracted to social status than social skills.Yeah pretty much, especially for guys. College is a transition phase. I’m in my late 20s and most respectable and dominant guys just don’t give a damn about the opinions of other people anymore besides those closest to them. That’s why the desire to be active on social media decreases a lot. Last thing you wanna do as an adult is outwardly care about your precious social status like some 16 year old girl. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/11/25 02:38 PM
Women are more attracted to social status than social skills.Social status? What are you in high school? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/11/25 03:10 AM
For men, it isn't truly about sex.Eh, it’s definitely status related, but it’s definitely not the only way to get high status. It’s hard to respect guys who try really hard to get laid and act like horndogs and still fail and then act all pissed about it. That’s true But I’ve known lots of guys who didn’t get any action simply because they didn’t try and didn’t give a shit. “Guy’s guys” who are always down for beers in the basement and have other things to garner respect for. And whom you wouldn’t assume don’t talk to women that… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/11/25 01:41 AM
I feel like most mens' lives are decided as early as middle schoolImagine thinking there’s nothing more to a man’s life than his history with women. If relationships with women aren’t exactly a man’s specialty, there are many, many other dimensions to define his life by. You should rephrase that to specify it as “love life”. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/10/25 07:30 PM
The only criteria to loving a man.Personally, I’ve turned down sex with many women who only wanted me for that. I’ve even chosen alcohol over it | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/25 07:37 PM
The only criteria to loving a man.I don’t what kind of men you’re used to being around, but having a woman care about you as a person is pretty highly valued among men. Think of the men who don’t even do anything sexual with a woman until there’s actually a genuine connection and he decides she’s someone he could be with for the long term. There are more than you think. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/25 07:33 PM
