Elite athletes have one of the most objective scouting/hiring processes in the world. Either they're one of the best in the world, or they're not. For all but maybe five models in the world, getting hired is almost exclusively about politics and popularity. Your comparison is moronic.

it's jenna marbles You'd think since it gets reposted so often, people would stop claiming that. It's actually Kate Quigley, and this is backstage at the AVN awards (which she was hosting). She's trying to be stupid and awkward, which might be cringy in itself, but it's not some random white girl trying to seduce him backstage at one of his shows, which is what most people assume.

Shoplifting has shopping right there in the name. Or, you know, lifting (stealing) things from a shop. The definition doesn't say anything about needing to be a customer or excluding employees.

And the reason this time was extra special? "Because you came up to me." Doesn't exactly inspire confidence...

What did you say that had her flustered?

That's kind of my point though. If he's just boring without and real justification for why, that's not a good sign. But if he isn't great socially and the woman finds out it's because he's spent his days and nights preparing himself for a profession that he loves, some people would find that admirable. I'm not saying it's black and white and the girl is either just interested in the career or just interested in the money, but I am saying that some of them are probably intrigued for the right rea…

You can speak for yourself, but don't tell me what I would or wouldn't be interested in. A ton of girls are good at sex, not as many have interesting careers.

Agreed. If a girl seemed average or slightly below in every way and then casually dropped the fact that she was an astronaut into our conversation, it would completely change my perception of her. She might be a dull person, but the fact that she has a challenging and unique job would absolutely pique my interest. It might seem shallow (and not because of money), but it really isn't much different than liking somebody because they can crack a joke.

I'm sure that money is important for a lot of them but when he said They literally will go from borderline bored/dispassionate/uninterested it makes me think this guy is just not interesting at all and being a doctor is the only thing about him that can spark engaging conversation. I have friends (who are actually interesting and funny) that are firefighters and girls perk up when they hear that shit even though they start off at about $33k a year and probably won't ever make more than $50k. So …

I'm really confused. If the girl were getting chubby and the guy lost interest and started wanting hotter, fitter girls and then his interest was sparked again when she started taking care of herself, wouldn't TRP say he's red pill for not putting up with her being lazy and sedentary? That he's just being honest about what he wants and getting the most out of the market? What's different here? I'm not trying to start a debate, but I'm just genuinely wondering how she's a bitch who got what she d…

There are a ton of good tips and jumping-off points here, but some of those jokes are probably ones that she's heard before. Anything that ends with "make me a sandwich" is only going to work if you're so attractive that she would've left with you anyway. I feel like if you've seen a joke on a t-shirt, that's a sign that it's overused. I feel like "I'll tell you after you buy the next round" or "I'll tell you during breakfast" (implying she's staying the night) would sound a little more natural …

Yeah - that's what I was trying to get at with "feel and appear more confident." I think some guys on there are probably really confident that they're a great catch, but don't have the social skills to convey that to people non-verbally. So being confident is step one. Showing that confidence is step two.

Some of the content on there is gold. I love reading posts and articles about how people motivate themselves or the little tips and tricks on how to feel and appear more confident and interesting. It's just too bad you have to wade through 30 shitposts for every constructive one.

Fair enough. It's just really disappointing that when I found that sub, I thought it would be 100% how to improve yourself to become a more attractive and interesting person and partner. I'd honestly say that direct improvement advice or "coaching" is maybe 10% of the content there, and that's probably being generous. The rest of it seems to be how to avoid rape charges and cherry-picked studies and statistics that show that women are selfish (spoiler: most people are selfish).

I just wish there was more of that on TRP rather than hamster this, slut that, single moms are bad people, cock carousel, blah blah fucking blah. For men that are supposed to be so self-actualized and fulfilled, there's just so much whining on TRP.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
