Seriously. Is he even saying anything during these compliments? Or is he just fully accepting them and saying “thanks”?

What other ways are there to introduce someone to TRP besides the book The Rational Male?

I wouldn’t say it’s unladylike, but I’ve never understood how anyone can read a book in a bar in the first place. There’s so much going on. It definitely seems like a ploy for attention whenever I see it(34M Bartender). But, if it’s a “great conversation-starter” like someone previously mentioned and you genuinely enjoy it, then go for it.

I would say “confident, assertive man who takes control” instead of “dominant” simply because of the BDSM indication

I appreciate the honest self-reflection in this post. I wish you well and hope you find peace.

I’m sure he knows you like him. Maybe ask if he’d like to meet up for coffee to see if you can gain more closure over the situation, but try not to be attached to the outcome(if he says yes or no). Im sure it has been a very valuable lesson in self-reflection thanks to you sharing it on Reddit.

You asked to be RedPilled so please be ready for what I’m about to say: What you just mentioned are very important details to understand what’s going on. It sounds like you are quite open and honest, but to the point of being overly transparent with people who barely know you. This has taught me lots of lessons. You don’t have to explain your scars from your physically abusive ex, you don’t have to prove that you aren’t a slut, you don’t have to justify rumors that he might not even know about(s…

I don’t know enough about the situation at all to make an accurate assessment. But from the little bit of info that you’ve provided, I would guess that he’s right on the edge of being interested and would be willing to hook up. But it’s not quite enough to make him move as fast as he normally would. He’s also super young(as are you) so he probably doesn’t mean to send mixed signals and just doesn’t know what he wants. The medium is usually the message, his mixed messages are probably indicators …

What did you say or do that might’ve come off as obnoxious or messy-ish? He may have had a good time, but would you say the same thing to a guy that you were initially interested in but lost it due to what he might’ve done or said?

Instead of becoming loud around guys you are attracted to as you mentioned, I suggest holding eye contact with those you are interested in, and maybe a smile. It gets the point across.

The answer here is simple: Honesty. Find the courage to say exactly what you said to a bunch of strangers online, it’s only fair to the person you’re in a relationship with and really the only way to get things moving, regardless of what direction it may be. Have an honest yet diplomatic dialogue.

That sounds like a tough situation. Is there something you may have said or done that could’ve changed his attraction towards you? Could it be the way you carry yourself which was shown when you two got to know each other? Also, is he is using a tactic you yourself used on people you were unattracted to, do you think you would approach things differently in the future with others knowing how this feels?

No, you didn’t do anything wrong. Terrible game on his part. Just because he sent his address doesn’t mean he should have any expectation of receiving yours. I’m surprised this didn’t lower your attraction towards him significantly. Major red flag.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
