Ok I guess I misread your post. I took it to mean that it was ok for the husband to take responsibility for the child without knowing it wasn't his because it was better for the child. While I agree that it might be better for the child and mother I don't think it justifies having the husband bear that responsibility if he does not want to. The tax payers might have to help cover the child but ultimately I think the mother should be held accountable for that, not her husband.

So basically your saying the womans husband should just be deceived and everybody wins? I don't understand people that think this way. What if this happened to you? Why wouldn't the woman be held responsible entirely? She made this decision and now she expects a man to take care of it for her regardless of the other people involved.
