Split = “Not interested” Man pays = “I’m interested” Obviously don’t pay for the date if you don’t feel attraction. But if you do, it’s a good way to signal in a way that is immediately obvious to the woman. Similarly, women typically will refuse if they’re really not interested since they don’t want the acceptance to be taken as a marker of interest. It’s not about who owes who what or this high value low value bullshit. It’s a simple easy way to convey interest.

Gotcha, that makes sense. So proportionally more women are in relationships, but it should still be the same number of men and women, right?

How does the math work on this? I assume we’re talking about heterosexual women, right? So each of those women must be in a relationship with a… wait for it… man? So how could there mathematically be more women that are in relationships with men than there are men in relationships with women?

Oh 100% I think it’s much more fulfilling. There are a lot of unattractive men that simply aren’t wanted so they’ll settle for needed I suppose.

I don’t think OP is saying women should be forced to need men through hardship, but is merely pointing out the fact that men are not needed anymore and thus women that would have only pursued relationships out of financial necessity no longer feel the need to do so. That is, the main gender role for men used to be as the “provider” but now that men aren’t needed to provide, women can choose to go it alone. I don’t think many reasonable people would say we should go backwards it’s just an observa…

I think being attractive makes you more successful at all social interactions not just romantic ones, right? So just from a behavioral reinforcement standpoint, attractive men will be conditioned into being more social. Try to imagine a 10/10 looks guy being a total introvert. That’s not to say that extroversion isn’t itself attractive (I think it is), but it’s both a cause of being attractive and a signal that the person is attractive in other ways.

I think they usually do. I think most of the A’s B’a and C’s stick to their own. I think A’s just have a hard time finding each other since they’re in the minority.

I think the big thing you’re leaving out is the magical social lubrications called “polite fiction”. Most people in group C don’t tell dating partners that they’re sleeping around because that’s rude. Nor do they pry and try to ask or snoop and find out. You just keep that info to yourself. How stupid would it be to tell a potential partner “lol I slept with someone else 2 weeks ago”. It’s not really lying, as long as it’s not directly brought up. Similar to how Someone wouldn’t say “I’m gunna g…
