That's true, whatever he truthfully did helped him write a great spiritual guide in the end. I find his teachings really help with my own self-discipline (music practice and gym) and make me approach everything with intensity. I've also never read Journey to Ixtlan, but I think I'll check it out.

I've read the Teachings once or twice and it's pretty good for re-orienting your life and understanding your deepest nature. On the other hand he's been criticized for inconsistencies in his journal entries, some of which are considered fictitious. Still, his spiritual knowledge is really good. One of my favorite quotes of his: "The only alternative left for mankind is discipline. But by discipline I don't mean harsh routines. Appreciate the response man. I watched an RSD video a while back where Tyler said "if you're 23 and not getting laid, something's wrong" or something to that effect. I don't know if I completely believe that but I think I might feel better with more sex (seems to be a universal Redpill truth). Managing it all is hard.
