When in Rome, do as the romans do. But don't believe their bullshit. Being connected to reality is pretty much the most important thing one can do. Knowledge is of the best ways.

You should see the ridiculous descriptions I've seen of this place since the latest bannings. Granted, this sub isn't a "safe place", nor is it welcoming to outsiders, but I've been all around this reddit. Everyone gets their own little echo chamber here. And everyone exaggerates about everyone else. Its the fucking internet. But I've always seen the new " content policy" enforced here even before it became official. There is always warning against brigading and use of non participation links. I…

I've been thinking about values lately, what with happiness being the achievement of them, and I think I've decided that control over oneself is something worth while to pursue. Probably gonna meditate more, already training to teach Tai Chi. Just have to keep sight of my goals, remember where my priorities are. Just finished reading "the manipulated man" and have been wondering to what extent my view of happiness has been affected by happy ending in the media we've been fed since birth.

Joining /u/bebestman, it's like reading a damn biography. The descriptions of where the intellectual will go feel like standing at the fork in the road. I've lately rejected the pursuit of women altogether and find my ideas about where to progress line up exactly with whats discussed.

I wouldn't say I was caught up in it. I could've chose to ignore it, but curiosity got the better of me, then when I saw the hamster I got disinterested. Gotta learn to accept the hamster is always there.

I know, believe me, I know. I guess it's just one of those things you know, but have to experience a few times to believe and accept at your core. I knew, but for some reason had to verify, then got disappointed when I turned out to be right.

I think you're correct. I guess a had an image of her in my mind that I expected to see/my perception of her from last time was incorrect, and the difference between my expectations and reality was too jarring for me to stay interested. I'm trying to be a more goal driven person, so I guess outcome independence is something I have to reintegrate into the new mindset.

Dude, you and me are on the same page. Had a girl visit on her break from school out of state. Last time she came down for a break one of the first things she did was mention her new boyfriend. This time, no such mention, she's sending me winky faces, so I figure "game on". She shows up, cuddling ensues, I ask her if I shouldn't be so familiar with her and she says it's fine. I look at her phone and her background is still her and her boyfriend. I open a dialogue and apparently they're still dat…

I get it, and I don't think she's a feminazi who doesn't care about facts, I'm just saying it's a bad sentence to say as a member of the press. Context is great, but I know how easily it can be removed. I'm just saying she coulda used some foresight. And that statement is jarring for the reasons I listed in my first post. As a sentence it's illogical at best and is easily prone to misinterpretation. It may just be me, but no matter the context I would've added some qualifiers. And I do actually …

I understand the context of the quote, but if I were in her position I might want to be more clear in the sentence itself. Sure, she meant "the facts of this particular situation" shouldn't affect "the narrative of college rape", and that's what she shoud've said. But she really should've rubbed two brain cells together before vocalizing the sentence in question as a member of the press. The wording of that sentence has made it very susceptible to this sort of thing. Frankly the statement is so …

You know what those reports might be called? Facts. The statement, "to let fact checking define the narrative would be a huge mistake" is still fucking ludicrous. If she's using the reports than she is still using something that resembles fact checking to create her narrative. I don't know if she misspoke, but no amount of context is going to make me ever trust someone who holds this statement as true. It is the equivalent of saying "no amount of proof you provide will make me reconsider the way…

This post is spot on, but I would like to make a couple adjustments. I think that the right video games can sharpen and maintain useful skills, like Chess does, simply digitally. You want to automatize thinking 3 moves ahead? Go get good at X-com: enemy unknown. Predicting enemy actions and factoring them into your plans will become second nature (a skill very useful in game theory, which plays into social engineering, a broad view of the work we do here). Want to learn how to quickly recognize …

HOLY SHIT, if we could just stop the small-dick syndrome we'd be so much further along. I usually try to catch that little bastard voice before he starts in, but I find that this is a skill most men have not bothered to develop. I hate having a useful conversation devolve into that crap. You can just watch it go off the rails as two guys stand around waiving their metaphorical pricks at one another while everyone else silently judges them for letting their ego lead the charge. No matter how hard…

No joke, explaining this shit to someone who doesn't have context (this guy is a redpiller) is like showing kids pictures of the solar system. Their face just lights up when the dots get connected. Funny enough, its harder to get men to agree with it than women. I explain to women and they just nod their heads, then tell me "you're so smart". I explain to blue pill guys and it's like pulling teeth.

I always viewed this sub as a space where people who could connect the dots without looking away were free to discuss what they found. Where correlation without causation was not decried as sexism but as a data point with a cause behind it that should be found. The world is both light and dark, from the perspective of an individual. There is a difference between those who accept the reality of what they consider dark and seek to integrate it into their worldview to come away with a model that ma…

Gonna comment real quick to let you know you aren't alone in this reasoning. I'm not going to get liberal butthurt about it (not saying you are just avoiding the label), but the only reason we can enjoy our firstworld problems so much is because people in the third world are living a shit life to make everything else so affordable for the rest of us. As long as resources are not infinite this will always be the case: enjoyment at the hands of one removes it from the hands of another, at least on…

/r/gloving Basically making your own light show with your hands, some gloves and LED chips. But there are things you can add to your show if the person happens to be a cute girl. You can throw in moves that promote eye contact, get laughs or smiles, and best of all, if a girl is in the mood to enjoy a light show then working simple things like running your index finger around the sides of her face into your show adds a tactile component that not only most people enjoy, but also works as physical…

From what I've gathered, Dread game is essentially making it obvious that if the relationship were to end you would not only be ok with it, but actually move on to better (or at least of equal value) things. It is the same as Beyonce's "I could have another you in a minute" but through the maintenance of ones SMV and response to shit tests rather than with verbal statements, thereby making it much more effective than what might be considered an empty threat. It should be noted that both genders …

Essentially fishing by putting out small pieces of bait and seeing who bites. It is true, many posts simultaneously express lament at the current set of circumstances while actively trying to become a part of them. That's because as an ideology RP does not seek to change the current circumstances. The sexual marketplace as it exists now is an inevitability of the biological, technological, and sociological factors of our species as they exist in our generation. In short, yes, women are here for them, not for you, IS the point. Though there are those of us acclimating to t…

I've only taken one friend that was a girl to the gym with me, in the hopes that I could show her some basic lifts and she could stop doing endless cardio without results (her diet was poor, but I was gonna tackle things one at a time). I first had to convince her that just because the guys there didn't move out of her way without her asking doesn't mean they "don't respect female lifters". I was floored when I heard her say this. Your mentioning of a "Social Media Validation Cycle" is incredibly interesting to me. It echos my thoughts on narrative, perhaps they are simply different descriptions of the same phenomena. To me this SMVC, shall we call it, is at the heart of our sociological issues. There is no true distinction between Us. We are all an expression of the same universe. Each of us is a representation of reality, just inhabiting a different form, Its nature present in all of Us. So where does our concept of dis…

I find that much of the advice TRP offers can be construed regardless of gender. They have to angle it towards women in this scenario because many of the men we are trying to assist would double back for this person, even though they shouldn't regardless of their gender. The most accurate title for this post is "don't accommodate wonton whiners". If a reader is here, it is likely he would accommodate a whiner if they were a woman, because that is the kind of behavior this sub was created to help…

This comment labors under the impression that you are being sarcastic. That said, I agree with you that part of the what makes RedPill theory unpalatable to others is this vein of negative emotion. That is not to say I don't understand it. When you're told your whole life that the world is one way and it turns out not only were you told wrong but your target audience then ridicules you for it and derides every attempt you make to improve, negative emotion is a natural consequence. With this in m…

Our communication is a limitation on the accuracy a view of reality we can convey to one another. For example, a physicist can only explain the total properties of a particle by using several different observation methods and ways of interpreting the behavior of that particle. One can subscribe to a particular method, but each is an incomplete model in a different way. When we ask a woman to communicate what they want we are encountering the same issue. There is no one way to convey all the info…

I would argue that no one side has the "power". The form our universe takes isn't more dependent on one thing over another. It is an interplay of all that is. No one concept or thing is "to blame". The ebb and flow is a result everything taken at once to create the moment. Nothing can be isolated as one "cause" of events. With that said, while we can witness a behavior from one group of people, we cannot blame that group alone for said behavior. They are merely the result of all that is in the m…

I would say that if one admits that sexual strategy is indeed different between the gender then your last statement (the familiar "swap the genders and see if it holds" approach to weather an idea is sexist) is a false equivalency. What you mention in the previous paragraph is of much more interest and usefulness to a discussion. A person does not exist as an entity separable from the fabric of reality, just like a particle cannot be defined as a single entity, but a result of all the interactio…

The same women who say "every body is beautiful" are the ones that will be told by their doctor when they're in their 40's that they should start watching what they eat and exercising, not because they want to look good, but because they're fucking unhealthy. Turns out a human's conception of beauty usually aligns with what a healthy individual in their culture looks like. Go figure.

I was thinking of something for the job question. I'm thinking "I work at an office with 3 sassy Black women". It's the truth, but it encourages a shift in focus. The women in question are a treasure trove to better topics too, since their stories usually involve complaining about thirsty men (onto other topics like what sort of men the target likes, then into patterning, etc.) Does it sound like it could work? Or should I go with something like duck cleaning or unicorn taming?

You have to remember the audience when you read advice here. The people looking for help often have the issue of just agreeing even to the point of switching their feelings about something. That's what I meant with the quoted line. As for the rest, yeah, that's pretty much it. You control the pace of the conversation, and you never want it to be stale. It would be better to disengage, go open another set, and come back later than to let the conversation grow boring.

Look, if you put 3 people in a room there will be 5 opinions, and just because we live in a democracy doesn't mean everyone is right. Establishing your opinions and having internal boundaries about how easily you will give those up means you thought about them. So "delete Facebook" no longer has any sense of humor in it. I don't understand how curtailing what a man says to his friends on Facebook isn't infringing on his first amendment rights. The tone of the relationship has been set as sex. Changing that tone requires a different kind of investment, and if the hookup likes what they see from it then the relationship changes.
