How are they even remotely similar? Just because a lot of people use the apps nowadays doesn't mean it's the best way to meet people. Especially if you're not an extremely attractive guy. It's more of a convenience/laziness thing for most people. That's why we're on this sub in the first place - to branch out and break free. But keep watching your cringey blackpilled youtube videos and telling me I'm wrong. I'll be out in the real world meeting people.

Tons of hot single women in Atlanta, with an Irish accent you'd slay here. I think it was recently rated one of the top cities in the US for young singles. It's hot as hell in summer but never too cold in the winter. It just sucks that covid is screwing up the social scene here like it is everywhere else.

I sometimes overhear guys at the bar trying to break the ice with stupid pickup lines or corny jokes. Cringey af IMO. Thoughts on that? I usually just go up and say hey how’s your night so far, and go from there

I came to this exact realization a few weeks ago and deleted them all forever. I was pretty far gone too, a big enough sucker to spend money on all of them. Never got any results worth writing home about. Dating apps exist for two reasons: give girls (another) validation source, and separate lonely desperate guys from their money. Did you know they offer hot girls free gold subscriptions? Whole thing is a giant fucking racket and 1000% waste of time. Basically every single guy I know uses them. …

This is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for. Thanks bud

Don't worry man - the damage is reversible but it takes some time. It's never too late! I'm 25 and just quit a week ago, I've been using porn regularly since I was 13. Never felt better. It will take a few months for your brain to rewire and not desire porn anymore. Seriously -- check out the easy peasy website and read the whole thing, it will explain everything far better than I can. Masturbation is still okay as long as it's in moderation. I'd say try cut back to maybe twice a week starting o…

100% YES. There are TONS of research showing porn in any form is a supernormal stimulus which absolutely wrecks your brain chemistry over the long term. It can give you ED, screw up your relationships, and ruin your sex life. This isn't some Christian right wing conspiracy --there are books about this. One of the leading ones is "Your Brain On Porn". Goes into all the science of dopamine desensitization, addiction, etc. You should quit porn as soon as you can. I recommend checking out easypeasym…

Epic post king. I watched a James Marshall video the other day where he said "I've been rejected more times than you'll ever approach." That really resonated with me to get my ass in gear and just start going for it. The pain of rejection is nothing compared to the pain of regret.

It's open source so it might be possible to find it as a pdf. Either way, try to read as much of it per sitting as possible. I think it works out to about 100 pages and I read it in like 2 days. It's optimized for mobile, pull it up on your phone and read a couple chapters when you get a few free minutes throughout the day.

easypeasymethod.org. It's great because it removes the desire to watch porn in the first place. I haven't even thought about watching porn since reading it, and even when I see a trigger, I still don't. Read it all the way through and you'll wish you had quit years ago. You don't need to be getting laid all the time to quit porn, you just need to understand the science behind it and it becomes easy.

Totally agree man. The sooner guys can get off the apps the better. I wish I would have never started with them, because I used them as a fallback and a crutch for years. I've found that girls you meet IRL are just higher quality in general. Apps encourage girls to be flaky and noncommittal, and that shit just weighs on you after a while. I think most apps average about 8 or 9 guys to every girl. That's just ridiculous competition and I KNOW most guys don't have those kind of balls to approach g…

That's awesome man. I actually just quit porn about two weeks ago (a no brainer after someone recommended I read EasyPeasy method) and I'm feeling amazing. With the dating apps I was just going through the cycle of addiction, endless swiping and disappointment and it was seriously hurting my mental health. Lot of my friends these days are using covid as an excuse to not meet girls IRL, in my opinion that's just an excuse to not try. Apps are just too fake, I want something genuine.

Dating apps are pretty much a joke for most guys unless you're way above average attractiveness. HUGE number of girls are only there for validation and aren't taking it seriously. Meanwhile they view most dudes on them as desperate. It's an incredibly toxic environment no matter which side you're on. I quit them about two months ago, second best decision I've made this year. The first was quitting porn.

Exactly. Shit like this is why I quit it. You have to basically make yourself out to be Captain fucking America if you want to have any success online. It’s unbelievably vapid and a time sink, and for what? 1% conversion rate if you’re lucky? The VAST majority of girls are only on the apps for validation unless they’re fat or hideous. Either that or trying to get insta followers. Total joke.

Lol that's funny man, I reached the exact same point this week and deleted all the "dating" apps off my phone. They're just so synthetic and fake. All I want is genuine interaction. I'm ramping up the confidence to start day approaching and leave the phone behind

Great stuff dude. I’m currently in a rebuilding phase on cold approach after years of using apps as a crutch/excuse. I’m tearing down and starting over. I had a pretty good run in college but the past 3 or so years I’ve been a massive pussy about talking to girls IRL and when covid hit I deluded myself into thinking it vindicated my efforts on dating apps. So I made a pact to delete the apps and open up more, not just to girls but strangers in general. I think desenstizing yourself to talking to…

Totally agree dude. It’s pretty mind boggling when you consider the numbers. Girls on dating apps who are above average attractiveness wise literally do nothing and have hundreds of matches they can pick and choose from. Hell, even if they’re average or below average they still get it. I’ve seen some girls tinders firsthand it’s insane. A lot of guys on apps are there out of desperation. Meanwhile to her you’re just another picture out of hundreds trying to get her attention. Good luck with that…

I dislike the whole "pua" thing as much as the next guy but this is an extremely toxic and defeatist mindset. If you sincerely believe this you might as well just give up. The process can be extremely frustrating at times but the highs are way higher than the lows. Any guy can do well with enough practice and perseverance
