Define eye contact cuz nobody likes being stared at. I'd rather someone just came up and talked to me than look up and see someone making direct eye contact. I would be weirded out lol

Ah well just something to think about the next time.

That's kind a bland honestly. Try sending a snapvid say "hey what's up how are you?" see if you can get a vid reply convo going. Much more entertaining and people are more likely to respond to direct question.

As a girl I recommend "it was worth a try!" or something along those lines. it's light, simple and not awkward. It's not aggressive towards me for not wanting to give it out and honestly guys who can let it go like that make me look at them different. If they take things gracefully I often start pursuing the conversation in their place and offer my phone number at the end if I think they are cute. Sometimes girls just gotta test that you aren't some crazy a holr roller-coaster. Cuz man we can't …

I'm a girl and I love Snapchat but I definitely don't snap with people I don't know well, too awkward. I prefer texting or getting coffee. Not a big one for skyping or video chatting either though so maybe thats it? Well I'd snap a guy I've been out with a couple times though. But just met on a bench the other day? Nah. It's like a lot of 30 second video messages or texting by pictures. But it's too hard to get to somebody over just Snapchat alone

Frankly I used to rave like crazy and raves are a considerably bad place to pick up anybody. It's a nice place to go with someone and hook up later (or there if you're in for a quickie in a book) but consent is questionable at best, God knows what STD'S are rolling around although since you're a dude(?) you've got the upper hand of bringing the condoms and unless you're rolling yourself the sex is a bit lackluster when you're not on their level. Idk I personally always just went to raves to rave…

As a female I can safely say it's akin to the girl who pulls her skirt or short down constantly (and not because it's short)—you can tell she's uncomfortable with what she's wearing. Also can I just say guys in v-neck anything is just like mhmmmm つ´˙ڡ˙`)つ

Yea so in other news if I could hire you for a day to follow me around and explain to others why they are being assholes and how they can fix that would be great. P.s you might be my favorite mod ever

I mean I feel like you're assuming a lot here? You don't even know how old I am first of all..and second yea every situation is different. I'm not saying you should always have to text heavily as the first step, there's been situations I agreed to go for a coffee by the next day. but it depend on the vibe I got from you initially and how much I really got to know you even lightly. I might still give you my number even if I'm not sure about you, I just may not agree to coffee so quickly until I k…

Aw thanks! I'm not really sure why I'm being downvoted but maybe the first paragraph sounded too aggressive? Or maybe because my suggestion was to go for the more casual approach and this sub tends to enforce the "take the situation by the reigns" approach? Idk, oh well at the end of the day women and men and people themselves are all different I guess, some stuff will work on a few and not on the others 🙄

Yo as a women, I would say it's not going to hurt to send out another feeler —just keep it real low key casual (basically don't go over the top or sound desperate). She may really have been busy, or something may have changed in the vibe she got from you. Heck she just might like being pursued. Or she may have given you her number because she's bad at saying no to nice people. She may just like to get to know people more over text before being stuck in potentially awkward situation. (I know I do…

I like this because It still gives me the option to a) oh damn I have plans tonight! :( or b) fuck yea! I think a big part of not responding to "you free this week" is I have NO idea where this is going so I have no idea if I want to respond therefore I respond as the risk of this turning unpleasant/uncomfortable of annoying if its something I really don't want to do because now I'm a part of this conversation. once I respond and I can't act like I was "too late to go" I hve to either not respon…

Maybe I'm just a prude but this would be way to intense of a first date for me unless I knew the person prior. Like if a guy goes in for hug and has his arm around me as much as possible and basically feels the need to have that much contact constantly and continously and goes in for a kiss in the first hour I'm going to assume he's either clingy or is just looking to fuck/thinks I'm easy. But maybe that's just me.

That's why I just ignore most of the messages now. The thing to understand about most of the messages us girls recieve is that if we so much as reply "sorry, I don't reply to strangers but thank you for taking the time ><" it's over. 9/10 of those guys will message you NONSTOP if you reply once. I remember one guy in particular who sent me 118 in ONE day got a hold of my email and somehow my phone number and would not stop calling and texting me. When I blocked him he started doing it on other n…

I'm really not. I'm pale as shit, my nose out grows my face and I don't have a trim waist. The point is there's a lot of better looking chics than me in the world, but even so I still get a lot of messages from random guys trying to talk to me just because I am a woman. I used to be that girl, I used to reply to every single one of them because it felt wrong not too. And you know what? It was exhausting, and usually turned into a situation where I got creeped out more and more as I continued to …

Pretty true it's also what he said in the message besides the question mark. Goodnight can come off as creepy and personal when it's from a person you don't know and or were not talking at any point earlier in that day. Same with "talk to you later?" We weren't talking in the first place why would I talk to you later? when I get messages like that i instantly write that person off. I don't even look at their profile picture. Although honestly I don't usually respond to messages from people who a…

As a female I concur. I would like to add people are quick to judge even if they don't know they are doing it. And I am guilty too sometimes. I also form a base impression of a person. Sometimes based on the first hang out I assess more or less 3 things: looks, personality and how the two weigh in accordance and how well they fit into my own preferences. If off the bat I don't initially find you attractive this doesn't mean your personality won't fill that gap. It's not a joke when I say I have …

Idk how guys can deal with it so well honestly. Because guys are definitely way more willing to throw themselves out there and get rejected.

That's kind of weird for her to keep talking about that, who does that?

there is little more damaging to a woman’s reputation than for her to be seen throwing herself at a man who won’t take her. The amount of truth in this sentence for me is so crippling. It is really really embarrassing for me if that happens.

And did I not at the end say I still would agree doing both smiling or talking to said person regardless? I'm simply expressing that in case he walked up and said something along the lines of "so i noticed you checking me out." She may very well have NOT been checking him out and assuming can make you look like an ass.

Wait. wait, hold on. Coming from a female this is not necessarily true. There are times when I make eye contact with someone by accident and it spirals into this ridiculous amount of eye contact, because if you look someone else in the eye sometimes there is this moment of realization. And that moment makes you aware, and now sometimes when you look that way, you accidently look at them. Which makes THEM hyper ware, and now you're both accidently glancing that way, keeping keen on peripheral gla…

This is super correct. I'm a girl and am very very close with my best guy friend. He's super nice and funny so I usually don't have a problem with guys I go out with getting along with him luckily. We dated in the past so sometimes it makes my dates uncomfortable until they understand that we really don't have those type of feelings for each other anymore because there were very rock solid differences that led to why we just couldn't be together. That being said he is my go to when I'm mad at yo…

As a girl who toes the line somehow between being a very confident person in general, but still sometimes being very nervous of the first time I'm viewed with my make up off, I'd say not necessarily. There's a lot of factors going into this, does she inside her self feel confident in her beauty with or without make up? Does she herself view make up as something to be done for fun and for herself or does she view it in a more prideful way. By this I mean if she goes on a date is she the type to w…

That'd just be annoying, I may be lying to be polite and end the conversation there. At that point it's really none of your business if I have a boyfriend, I'm obviously not interested but being nice about. Something like that will get you a really not so nice response afterwards.

Damn beat me to it I'm pretty sure I'd laugh if a guy said that to me And if I lied about having a boyfriend I'd reconsider.

Sounds like fun but I can see that ending sooooo badly. Some people making some mean ass assumptions, without even realizing that they're mean.

I was sexually abused by my father when I was 9 and on upwards till I ran away, then by a guy I thought was my friend while I was with my boyfriend at the time. He drugged me and waited till he thought I was asleep. Currently I like playing a submissive role in the bedroom only with a dom. Stuff like being ordered, punished, collars, whips etc. I'm also a bit of masochistic, and I'll admit weirdly enough one of my fantasies is to wake up to being had sex with, but only with a partner I trust of …

It's easy to run out of things to talk about. I'm busy and don't like texting much so I'll be on my phone a lot but take a while to reply to people. I also realize that inevitable I'm going to run out of things to ask, the longer I put in between messages the more time I have for something interesting to happen in my day that I can bring to the conversation table, and when that runs out I can return to the questions. Now this part is a little biased, so I'm sorry, but as girl I've also noticed t…

It's not that, texting is way creepier it's just most girls don't respond to messages on facebook because they get so many of them and you don't know a thing about that person. Just go up to them in person or not at all. I know it's scary as hell, but put yourself in a position to not be awkward like standing behind them in the lunch line and asking what they are serving today then starting a conversation about how terrible school food is or something. When I was 18 or so and people would messag…

Trust me, don't be that guy who messages people on facebook. Best case scenario the only reply you'll get is the type of girls who can't not respond to someone cuz they feel bad or are easily pressured.

I really hate this mentality that started "of nice guys finish last" it's bull. It's absolute bull. You more than likely weren't rejected because you were nice, you were probably just in the friend zone to begin with. Just don't be a pushover. There's being nice and thoughtful, and then there's letting women step all over you. And the latter is attractive on no one.

Well this wouldn't have worked on me but I also hold steady to neither giving nor receiving numbers at work. I hate being hit on because I can't respond the way I want to, just in case it pissed off or displeased the person and they complain.
