I keep noticing small things that differentiate my ex (total LVM ass) and my current boyfriend, that really make me want to thank FDS for improving my judgement in men. For example, I’m on the pill anyway (for period pain management, as well as extra security) so after +6months, when I’m sure about the relationship I propose that we both get tested and drop the condoms (it’s more intimate/feels better without imo). But sometimes I forget to take a pill, so I’m not 100% protected for the 7 next d…

After almost 7 months, my bf is still like that too! For example if he’s over at mine (happens more often that the opposite for logistical reasons) he’ll be the one cooking/cleaning/bringing me coffee to bed/... bcs he insists that he wants me to just relax. (Also I hope your PTSD slowly but surely gets better 💪🏻♥️)

Firstly, I’m really happy for you! ♥️That you recovered well, took care of yourself and that you know your worth and dumped his ass. I really don’t understand how you can be so shallow?? If you base your attraction purely on physical criteria, then how will you ever be able to be in a LTR ? People get older, life happens, you can’t stay at your best all the time ! (That’s why I’m glad I met my current bf when I was at my heaviest. (My weight fluctuates a lot because of depression/bad metabolism/…

I had friends who started dating at 15/16 y.o. pretty seriously. So depends of the person and their life experience I guess ))

I think it’s never a good idea to send pics/videos of yourself to a guy. As people said anything can happen, his phone can get hacked, he can get mad and post it online,... who knows. You can never trust someone 100%. Plus, it’s one sided, you’re sending the picture and what do you get in return ? A good compromise I’d say is sexting. Describe to each other what you will do when you finally get together, make his imagination and writing skills work. How he will kiss you, take care of you etc. It…

It’s not about the weight, it’s about the confidence! Weight is not a permanent thing, it comes and goes but your confidence should stay strong no matter what. Also, life is short, please don’t hold on trips or life experiences until you’re a certain weight. You don’t have to be perfect to enjoy your life ! I’ve struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. It always had a huge impact on my self-esteem and overall mood. But then I just stopped giving a fuck. I was way happier, and also…

So just treat women like shit until he’s graduated ? The earlier he understands what behaviour is best to have in dating, the easier it’ll be for him to adopt it. He just has to adapt what he reads to his own situation.

For me, cooking together is more of a couple activity, once you know each other and want a quite night in. It can be very cute ! But it’s not super appropriate in the « get to know the other » phase. You’re not quite sure yet of the other person intentions, and it’s kinda weird to go to their place alone. For me, if I come over = sex is expected. I prefer to meet in public places, and it doesn’t have to be an expensive date but it’s the effort/intention that matters. If you want to cook for the …

Exactly! I have a similar situation ^ I (F19) was at an international event around October and met a great guy (M22). He was pursuing me actively and we clicked quite well, so we started dating within 2 months of meeting each other. He lives in a neighbouring country (maybe 3h away from me) but as an effort to be close to me, actively researched and finally got an internship + thesis opportunity in my city. If a guy wants to be with you, he’ll find a way. No matter the circumstances.

My (LDR) boyfriend just texted me (kinda out of the blue) : “idk how to express how happy I am to get to be part of your life ♥️”. And I feel that it’s a good way to put it ? He’s not “happy to have me/date me/be with me/...”, he doesn’t imply that he’s everything in my life or anything. Just that he’s happy that I let him share some of my time. He knows that I am a busy person with a full life and that I’d be happy without him too. He’s usually bad with words (and is more about gestures) but th…

Thank you, I needed to hear this. 💕 I realised that for me, being in a LDR makes it hard not to check my phone all the time/not over text and properly focus on myself sometimes. I gotta get him out of my head.

It was my first post on this sub and I got my first award ever and my first hate messages lmao. Why people feel the need to come and tell internet strangers that they think they’re dumb will always amaze me.

Thanks, I think you’re right. Usually when I’m scared of something, I’ll jump right in to extend my comfort zone. Idk why I was treating this situation differently.

I have anxiety in general, not specifically for that situation. But I’ve been trying to analyse why I feel that way. I think I’m mostly unease with the concept of dating in general (as I don’t like being vulnerable, scared of being hurt and wasting my time). A bit more context I guess : I’m F18/19 soon, he’s M22. I’m in Brussels, he lives in Aachen. Both in uni still. We met at an event for engineers in France last October.

I met a great guy a couple of months ago. We saw each other a couple of times (it’s long distance so makes I harder) and text almost daily. I tried my best to avoid any feelings and only think rationally about all this and I don’t seem to notice any red flags, quite the opposite. (Been very careful with that bcs of past experiences, and thanks to this sub I know what to look for). We celebrated NYE together (with a couple of friends of mine) and when we were alone he asked me « what are we for y…
