They feel entitled to have everything done their way and don't give a rip about anybody else's needs/perspective.

Yea, I think some people are just looking for things to whine and complain about. I wish the position of the toilet seat was the biggest thing I had to worry about, in life.

I started doing this 10 years ago, for exactly the same reason. That cat died 7 years ago, but the habit stuck. Now I can't stand having the lid up because for some reason, I'm afraid of things falling in (weird thing to worry about, I know). My boyfriend moved in with me, in February, and leaves it open. I just close it. I don't see any need to complain about it; I just close it, myself, whenever I notice.

How does someone feel entitled enough to just ask someone that? I can't even imagine being that brazen.

I found out my brother's girlfriend was pregnant, and this was going to be my first niece, so I was pretty excited. I told my boss, thinking she'd be happy for me/my brother. Her response was "did you tell him to give his head a shake?" I was just like ..uhhh mmmay then. For other reasons, I quit my job and a bit later, found out that she was pregnant. Her kid can't be more than 6 months younger than my niece. …
