None, but it's a (probably) unconscious reaction meant to make the story line up more with the expected pattern, because of course our brains like patterns. We're told over and over that when a woman does this to a man he likely deserves it, and our brain will look for a way to make something that doesn't initially fit that pattern conform. Here we've found an easy way to do that which leads to less uncomfortable dissonance for most folks.

I can agree with you on all of that. I guess sometimes folks don't vent frustration in the best way. I know sometimes it can get me feeling down to see so much negativity that's based on totally wrong ideas flung our way.

I'll be the first person to say that places like MotherJones and HuffPo do it too. Brietbart is the source here, however, and thus is the one I commented on. All I'm trying to say is that we should take into account the bias of the sources before we go off on any politician for their personal conduct.

Sure, but at least I can consent to the risk in the vasectomy. I can't consent to a risk I don't know about, and of course providing me a product with unknown risks is legally risky for pharmaceutical companies. There's no need to rush headlong into unknown and possibly unacceptable risks.

Just didn't like the town and the general feeling of Ball State. Way back when I was in undergrad (two long years ago) it had a reputation for being plagued with std's. No idea if that was true or not, but it's what was said. Oh, and their dumb chirping cheer. I was always embarrassed for them when hearing it.

In all honesty, there's not anything anyone here will say that's actually useful that a good lawyer won't. Just go find a good lawyer, and then do everything they say. Something comes up related to the allegations and you don't know what to do? Call your lawyer and get instructions. Always, always, always do what your lawyer says.

In my personal experience with this professor I have to say that I doubt very much that the viewpoint expected of the students was one of cultural relativism. Her take when I had a class with her was very much that the viewpoints of white, upper middle class males were not welcome in her classroom.
