I agree with you up until the “he can find a girl just as pretty or prettier” part. Let’s pretend she is the hottest woman ever. And he cant get anyone as pretty or prettier. Does that make it more acceptable? It just kinda sounds like asshole-y behavior is less tolerable if one is ugly/less attractive. But I’m with you otherwise, caring about someone’s height is pretty dumb to me. BUT, even if she’s not down for a shorter dude she could be a decent human about the whole thing.

Well ultimately he wasn't fired for the politics, but simply for violating a code of conduct he agreed to when taking the job with google. Google would have actually been liable to lawsuit had they not fired him. That being said, I still think the memo was garbage. Smart man makes articulate argument based on a ton of false premises.

Actually I've been thinking about this and I have to say that circumcision should really be up to the individual, not the parents. That's a closer parallel to women making decisions about their reproductive organs. The owner of the body should make the decision. Parents (man or woman) should not be mutilating their little baby. It's the baby's body, and when that child becomes an adult they can decide to get a circumcision or not. Likewise with women on abortion, birth control, etc.

Jesus what feminist said that? Sounds like a sexist not a feminist. I hate that people have turned feminism into hatred of men. I assure you it's not. I think if you look at any of the prominent texts on feminism they discuss the harms that sexism casts on men. Even women's studies courses I took discussed the problem of men underreporting assault (sexual,physical&verbal) in depth. :( I'm sorry if anyone ever trivialized your assault because of gender.
