well it is confusing because so many different ideas have been told about what women are and aren't and what your suppose to do. some men believe no girl is looking for a guy for sex, it's usually the other way around. So finding a girl who mainly wants to hookup is near impossible. while other men like alan rodger currie say there are many women who just want sex and you have to be careful not to be put in the friendzone or used for attention

I do what alot of the dating coaches do on the youtube videos. For example, my most common line is "this is random but I thought you were beautiful and wanted to stop you and say hi", out of 100 approaches, maybe 10 of them i'll have a geninune 5 minute convo and I'll get the number, of the 10, probably over half of them block me or not even respond to the text, the other 5, usually are just really strange and using me for attention with no real intent of meeting up in person.
