Women have infinitely more options, not all of them are good. This gives more room to have higher selection criteria that men have to meet.

Never been to a Trader Joe’s either, reading this thread made me feel like I’m missing out lol

Women being autonomous beings doesn’t exclude them from the dating market, and most women aren’t lesbians.

Exactly how tall is your husband if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m seeing mostly 5-6 range, is that considered above average?

The topic of a difference in working hours was brought up in the other thread and everyone seemed to reject the idea that this should affect the distribution of household chores.

In that case both partners should agree to a living situation that will better allow equal contribution. This would adjust for the discrepancies in disposable income by scaling to the ability of the lesser earning individual to afford the bills.

I understand what you mean, it’s just that this sort of compromise largely wasn’t considered in the previous thread where most people argued that it wasn’t acceptable for men to not perform 50/50 household chores even if they work greater hours for their job. A scenario akin to the one you provided would be a wife refusing to accept her husband not doing exactly half of the chores, even when he works full time and she works part time.

In that case, do you also believe household chores should be completed relative to working hours?

I don’t think it’s intentional for men to selectively choose women who are lesser earning. Rather it seems to be a byproduct of their innate attraction to younger women that happens to be accompanied with them being of lower levels of financial independence. Proportional contribution seems fair, I would agree with that.

I interpreted living within their means as implying men should accommodate for the perceived financial disparity by adjusting their living conditions to better allow for equal contribution. Yes, I completely agree with your distinction that men who work more hours should have partners who are willing to adjust their lifestyle in order to meet expectations of equal contributions to household chores.

Yes, quite the opposite. Lower earning men are often disqualified from relationships (https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/dating/marriage-rates-decline-reason-economically-attractive-men-jobs-income-a9098956.html?amp). On the other hand, I’d assume financial status has little bearing on mens’ dating selectivity.

Does your partner spend an equal proportion of her income on bills however?

It’s interesting to note that in the other thread people said a man should find a better job if his current one doesn’t allow him to contribute equally to household chores. However, in this thread nobody has argued women should find a better job if they can’t contribute equally to household bills.

This post isn’t discussing chores, it is about paying bills - something you do use a calculator for

I agree with this, the living situation would ideally have to be one where both partners can reasonably contribute towards. My intention wasn’t to argue in favor of a relationship disparity, rather it was to discuss ways that would help make it more equal.

Added explanation: F&F misread the introduction - the first paragraph is referring to past studies that were biased in terms of sampling. The following paragraph goes on to say that “to fill the need (of a general survey)” the current study was being conducted. Meaning the stats in this study were taken from the general population, not those within the poly community.

I agree, it has also helped me see that it’s possible to be just friends with a female and not have any romantic interest involved.

I was just a teenager that struggled with girls, so I turned to RP advice found online. I don’t consider myself as taking any color “pill” now, and I think it’s because I realized that that these people online don’t know what they are talking about. Watching pickup artist videos shows how desperate and awkward these people really are. Most of them don’t understand basic social interaction and try to solve their problem by turning it into some sort of intellectual activity that can be rationalize…

Not advocating for prostitution, but I’m assuming it’s better because there is no judgement and the pleasure is focused on you.

Best advice I would have for you is to improve other aspects of your appearance that are under your control. There have been girls that I did not previously consider good-looking that suddenly became insanely attractive after they changed their sense of style.

As long as you stay respectful that shouldn’t be a problem. I would also recommend talking to a therapist, it seems that you have a defeatist mentality and low self efficacy that you might get help dealing with.

I think you are overthinking things, if she means that much to you then you should reach out to her. You won’t really lose anything by trying to make something happen.

It was a good move to avoid being clingy and focus on stuff other than her. My advice would be to not get too attached to her since she seems to enjoy receiving attention from other dudes. Seems like she wants a FWB relationship with you, and it might not go further than that. Don’t let anything bother you, it’s been working out well for you so far.

Congrats man, you did good and had some fun. Honestly though, it seems like she was looking to get laid so that’s probably why she invited other guys to hangout with your group. Keep applying the advice and talking to other girls as well going forward.

He’s trying to shame you into not considering divorce. He also doesn’t want anyone blaming your separation on his own mistakes, which is indeed narcissistic behavior. It is typical for men involved in Red Pill/MGTOW to ignore their faults and believe themselves to be the victim. However, other people’s opinions shouldn’t be more important than your own well-being.

MGTOW is a coping strategy for insecure men. They are afraid of divorce, so they try to reject the notion of a healthy relationship. It seems that your husband understands his own infidelity could ruin your marriage, so he tries to shift the blame onto women in order to avoid accepting responsibility. It is probably in your best interest to divorce him since you have children who could fall for this damaging mentality.

Not everyone perceives things the same way that you do, or goes through the same life experiences that you have. It might be best if you to talk with someone about this directly, a therapist could be helpful for your depression and relationship issues.

That is a defeatist mentality. You can indeed have some degree of control over certain parts of your life. You can exercise regularly to take care of your health, you can get an education to have a high paying job, and you can make friends to build a larger social circle. You are right that we can not fully control what goes on in our lives, but my point was that we should make an effort to have some stability and independence.

If you believe it is unfair for a girl to expect you to be self-sufficient while she is not, then you do not need to pursue her. You should have standards based on what you are comfortable with for a potential partner. I personally do not think there is a limit to self-improvement, but I think you will know that you are ready and have everything together when you have control over most aspects of your life.

First of all, it is definitely not ok for anyone to disrespect someone else in this manner. However, you shouldn’t generalize this behavior for all women. There are some out there who will appreciate your effort in asking them out. My advice would be to be careful and make sure the person you are going to ask out is also interested in you. Lastly, I wouldn’t believe much of what is written on the Red Pill subs. Those people could make up stories just to further delude themselves into believing w…

I didn’t need the Red Pill to teach me that the world isn’t all good. There are lots of bad people out there, and that includes both men and women.

I don’t think there’s much truth behind this rule since researchers have found that most people are in relationships with people of similar attractiveness.

The best thing would be to always focus on bettering yourself and work towards self-improvement. The worst thing would be the idea that a woman could never love me and that she would always be considering other options. Red Pill feeds into insecurities, which is really damaging for a lot of men if they don’t realize it.
/r/ExRedPill05/03/21 01:14 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
