No, in this case children lie - a 2 year old girl is not aware of her sexuality or her "pussy pass" as you put it therefore this is a completely irrelevant comment. Children lie, PEOPLE lie. Some are good at it, some are terrible at it. Ugh - seriously, don't bring children into this. That's just wrong.

Ok that's fine. I have just subscribed to RPW and as a woman I guess some of the defense of this man is confusing to me. But then having said all of that, I have ONLY just started looking at this whole theory and as a woman I am mostly looking at it from a womans perspective right now before I look at the opposite and how they work together. I know that by nature they are at odds, so it makes sense that i'll read things I don't entirely like the look of and that's OK. I just wondered whether an …

Ok, can I at least ASK. Should this be true, what this woman is saying... is there NO way that the man she is with is going AGAINST RP? She's doing all RPW things for him we are led to believe by this post no? So him behaving that way, is that not a bad thing? Is that not incredibly insulting towards TRP? Trying to gain understanding here.

Yes please. I'm not fat but I do think I'm not doing things properly re self care.

I've recently seen articles about a very fat size 22 model who started some sort of eff your standards of beauty movement. I honestly find it disgusting, i don't mind curvy, I can get behind curvy but obese... like plainly ridiculously fat people - I'm sorry but that's not OK. I don't idealise anorexia, neither will I ever idealise obesity. If that's what we're teaching our little girls in this day and age then frankly I'm glad I'm currently childless.

I think feminism lies to them just as much though. Until I found this place I wondered why the expectations I had weren't reaping me any rewards so to speak. I am angry at feminism myself now that I realise it's actually complete trash. AWALT - yeah maybe they can be but I think it's a blanket statement that isn't true the same as the feminist "all men are pigs" view.

I don't agree with the sentiment "your attitude is causing ALL the problems" - it isn't, it's causing problems but not all of them. If the problems continue to be there when I have taken responsibility for MY behavior THEN I can say "fine, I have modified my behavior and I made a mistake choosing this person". The buck effectively should stop with me because I shouldn't be fighting, end of. There have been instances where I have abstained from answering back though...and that has done little to …

I'm a girl and I just joined the community, I don't hate you. I would make a lot of you angry as hell because I'm just learning about the values and have been a total jerk prior... but I understand where many people here are coming from with their views.

I just got a kindle actually...can't think of a better use for it than some self improvement. Thank you!!

I'm kind of scared by this because what will it mean for me if I change... but it has to happen.

Hi, thank you so much for this reply. I sound like a broken record thanking people but honestly it took you time to write that and share with me and I'm really really glad I found this sub. I will have to think hard about whether i want to be with him or not at this point but that doesn't mean that I have to treat him badly in the meantime - I would say that if I am accountable right now for my behaviour then perhaps the answer will be made for me!

Yup that about nails it. I do want to, but I think I have to be a little bit slapped around here in order to actually start the process and I will check out that book. Gotta start somewhere.

This is a crazy interesting perspective. I honestly never even explored it. Thank you. I definitely need to be thinking about this.

How does that work for you? That he doesn't display affection that way? does that not bother you?

I possibly made a mistake. It's not that I was never attracted to him, but I wasn't exactly selective to be honest. I had doubts, I ignored them... I'm still responsible for my actions NOW though. I know that.

This makes a great deal of sense. I do like him, I like him as a person. It's hard for me to answer "why am I with him" right now after 3 years of, well....THAT. I don't expect sympathy here, but I certainly am willing to listen, and if I still leave him afterwards then ok fine, but at least I'll have done something about my actions and recognised them first and foremost so that I do not keep on doing this.

Thank you, I will check those out. I really appreciate it.

I agree with you fully. I honestly do. It is my problem. But I don't feel that my spouse has EVER been a support system for me the way women describe here, and right now, no! I do not deserve it. I don't need to be told that again because as you can see - I am aware of it and since this is about self improvement, that is why I outed myself and my bad behaviour here for your consideration. I know it's messy, it's NOT good at all. I appreciate your honest feedback on this, because you are right. I…

I play a huge role and I fully admit it. I know wholeheartedly that I'm not doing what I should be. Perhaps I'm now going to make excuses as to why, i'm not sure if that's what they are yet but I see it like this: I was in a relationship with a white knight when I first met my SO. He was definitely the opposite of a white knight and was very "why should I" about things. Why should he do xyz for women kind of thing. He was tempestuous but clever and I thought wow he has backbone, I want that. He …

I must agree to this wholeheartedly and I also agree with the premise that women should take responsibility.

This is entirely me when I'm being a stubborn bitch. I don't believe it, but I really really get angry sometimes and I just spew this shit out everywhere. Ugh.

I could have actually written this myself. Wow. I do give in though, I slander my SO badly. I sometimes really WANT to be a monster. I guess I just have more work to do.
