I’ve felt this same way! I remember when I was younger, I got so upset when I realized the types of men that were attracted to me (narcissists, losers) and I actually cried about it for some time. I thought there was something wrong with me. I think what helped me was getting older, focusing on myself and rejecting the guys that would try me. I quit giving those types the time of day. I’m still working on my self esteem though.

What we don’t want is to work full time and then shoulder full time house work and childcare on top of our full time jobs. Men need to step up and actually be partners when it comes to childcare and house work and quit the weaponized incompetence BS. It’s not fair for women to take on most of the childcare and house work when we are working full time jobs just like men are. These types of men expect their wives to be their slaves and then wonder why the marriage doesn’t work out

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who dislikes that show.

My brother cooks, my uncle cooks. I had a few exes that cooked. There’s no excuse for an able bodied man not being able to cook.

That's how the gamer lvx was. I also had a hard time leaving him because I had been in an abusive relationship before him - so my standards were in hell. Over time I realized how lazy he was, how messed up his priorities were and how little effort he put into the relationship. I realized I was unhappy in that relationship because I was on the bottom of his list of priorities. I realized that I did not want to marry him, and that it would be a nightmare to have kids with him or buy a house with h…

My LVX was a gamer. Also a pot head. A lazy, irresponsible and immature pos who rarely took me out on dates. Didn’t own a toilet brush, broom or mop. Hygiene was terrible. I was embarrassed to be out in public with this dude, that’s how badly he dressed- holes and stains all over his clothes. He would say, “I’m a kid at heart” and “games are good for your brain” and they “keep you sharp.” This dude thought he was so smart. If he really was smart he wouldn’t be 34 y/o with no education (high scho…

Stuff like that is so irritating. It’s the reason why I can’t bring myself to hang out with a certain friend of mine anymore - she has a serious case of pickme syndrome. I think I lost respect for her after seeing how she lets her husband treat her. Edit: I tried to explain to her she deserves someone who respects her and treats her like a queen, but she defends his shitty behavior with rabid loyalty. I tried to direct her to this subreddit after she told me she thought about divorcing him. She …

This guy is jealous of you. Resents you for having goals. Glad to hear you’re dropping him!

My whole life, my mom drilled into me that my education and career were to be my top priorities and that I shouldn’t consider marriage until my 30s. I increasingly understand why she did this. As I read more and more of these stories and also see the women in my life who have been burned by their husbands, I realize that I am glad I have made the decisions that have all led to my being single and child free at my age. The social stigma I face gets to be much at times, but I am so relieved that I…

This poor lady is way too nice. Better to just block and delete. That guy demonstrated that he didn’t deserve an ounce of her energy.

Yes. When I was with the LVM I would have nightmares about being married to him or being pregnant with his offspring. I also had a bad dream about him proposing to me with a ring made out of wood. Deep down I knew he was a POS. Now that he’s out of my life I don’t have those nightmares anymore.

This post is so on point. I was with a broke guy for a while. I would have recurrent nightmares about being married to him or having kids with him. Older people in my life would tell me “love does not pay the bills” and I’m glad I listened. There really is nothing good to gain from dating a broke guy. When we were together we mainly ate fast food, rarely went out on dates, and would stay at his apartment doing nothing most of the time because he was too broke. I gained about 15 pounds during tha…

This reminds me of my lvm ex. His toilet would literally become caked in grey goo. He didn’t even own a toilet brush 🤮

I stay away from that hormonal birth control crap after my experiences with multiple kinds. It worsened my mood swings, breasts would hurt severely, I would get random headaches, nausea and overall I just felt like crap while taking them. Like, wth should I have to pump my body full of hormones that make my body feel messed up, and sex isn’t even that great anyway?
