"your brain thinks it is doing something right and you have gotten a female naked" Really good point, not thought of it that way before.

"I saw you at the bar earlier" and I had no idea how to respond.

I am completely honest. My friends don't judge I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

"regret hurts much more than rejection" - this is sooooo true! People regret things they never tried much more than things they tried that didn't work out.

Ask her about meeting up again one more time. If she declines again then she may not be interested as that will be three times.

Great comment - hadn't thought of friendzone quite like that before but it makes a lot of sense. OP - I had a vaguely similar situation, except that the girl made it quite clear that she liked me, then she got back with her BF and we've not spoken much since. It hurts a bit for a few weeks but then you move on. I've seen/been contacted by her a couple of times since then and I just ignore or end it asap. I think she is of the belief that there is no issue whereas I have no interest in continuing…

Awesome! I'm becoming more assertive in general so that would be a useful change to make.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
