Every country has some sort of variation of that act. An employer cannot choose to pay all his female employees 10% less then their male employees because they would get sued. You cannot discriminate based on sex in any western country as far as I am aware, there are already laws in place to prevent that. If an employer could get away with paying women less then men, then employers would only hire women because they would not have to pay them as much.
