Also, I’m not running around telling people about my problems and traumas. That’s what my Reddit account is for lol.

Thanks. I’m very attractive, take great care of myself, have a great personality and am ok with an older significantly less attractive man so I think my expectations are just fine.

I’m not upset at all. I think you have a very preconceived idea of who I am and what I’m looking for, thus you are in no position to tell me if my desires are realistic. You’re projecting onto a virtual stranger and trying to pass it off as advice.

I don’t think you’re actually interested in understanding what I want, you’re more interested in stereotyping me, which is fine. Thanks for your attempt at advice.

The commenter who “dug up” my profile is a self professed shit poster. I think there’s absolutely nothing about my character or life that a trad man in his late 40s or 50s would consider a dealbreaker if he otherwise liked me. Genuinely curious, as a non trad man yourself, how are you so confident that you know exactly what is a dealbreaker for a trad man? Is your opinion based on stuff you read in these kinds of subs or do you have other sources?

Imagine being such a trash parent that you think doing double duty as an internet troll counts as spending quality time with your child.

Thanks, I’m glad you think so!

First you have to learn how to spell it. Baby steps. Maybe ask your wife for some help. But she’s probably too busy taking care of your family and paying half the bills while you’re busy trying to antagonize random women on Reddit that are laughing at you (the tell tale sign of a well-adjusted person in a happy marriage).

You’re doing amazing, sweetie.

I get the essence of what you’re saying. I mean, the fact that I’m 32 and not married when I want to be tells a story already. Yes, I’ve had significant hardships. But I don’t think I’m unworthy or unattractive to a “traditional” man whatsoever. I actually think the fact that I’ve overcome difficulties and am constantly working to be a healthier person despite the hand I was dealt in life would be pretty attractive and reassuring to a mature man who has experienced growth himself. I’m not sure w…

I don’t struggle with any of those things, but your concerns for my well being are appreciated nonetheless. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read about me, think about me, and wish me well! You’re so precious.

That last part is certainly believable. Good luck with your marriage!

I’m not addicted anymore, if that makes a difference. It’s something I struggled with in the past, but I realized it was not who I wanted to be so I sought support to stop and have been successful. My ADHD is well managed and I’m a successful and responsible person by any stretch. In my opinion, my personal credentials are not relevant to the discussion. If you are well matched with a person and expect her to birth your children, do the majority of the domestic labor and child rearing, while tak…

I’m not addicted to drugs. I’m not mentally unstable. I do have a history of past relationship failures that I’ve learned from. I don’t need a man to pay for my every whim. I don’t post on Reddit about all the things that make me a good partner because why would I? You’re really reaching here.

Good thing you’re literally nobody.

Ok. I won’t look through your posts since this isn’t personal to me. If you think me having ADHD and seeking support to quit smoking weed make me too flawed for marriage, that reflects on you and I hope you find someone as perfect as you seem to think you are.

No. The dynamic and trust are established through the dating period and maintained into marriage. If you can’t afford to take me on dates, you definitely can’t afford a family. Also I would never date someone for 5 years since I’m in my early 30s. If you asked me this question in my teens and 20s my answer would be different.

In a childfree relationship, sure. If I’m dating with the intention to marry and have a family, absolutely not.

The problem isn’t that there aren’t enough people for these jobs. The problem is that having these jobs is extremely unattractive.

It doesn’t matter if he is sure, the important question is are YOU sure? You can definitely slow things down. Just tell him you think things are moving too fast and you’d prefer to keep dating and getting to know him better before going to the next stage of a committed relationship. A non abusive man would be disappointed but take it in stride. His response will tell you everything you need to know.

Doing it for the money if you have no other options is actually the only legit reason I can think of.

Posting your pussy on the internet doesn’t make you interesting or relevant… but it’s interesting that you think it does. Also I’m sure your kids and husband would rather have a boring mom, to start with.

I have never ever ever understood why anyone would do this. I have a decent body and it has just never occurred to me actually do this. To each their own but it’s super trashy and risky IMO. I have parents, a career, I want to have a family someday. Even if you don’t show your face, that shit could definitely come back to haunt you. Why? Just why? To know that guys want to fuck you? As if that’s not incredibly obvious already?

There are a lot of very attractive women out there IMO, I find it hard to believe you’re only attracted to so few of them. Are you sure you’re actually attracted to women?

It’s not obsolete and never will be, thanks to the fact that children will always need a lot of care and attention.

There are shitty people in the world, and it’s our personal responsibility to keep them at arms length. A man with good judgement and self control would never have to worry about this.

That’s entirely your bad for not giving a second thought to the personality or morals of the people you date, going based solely on how bad you want to fuck her.

With all due respect, your husband sounds like a bitch.

I’m not shaming her, I’m telling her she has issues. Her outlook is unhealthy and offputting, she should be aware of that.

You have issues.

It doesn’t seem like you have any reason to believe that those things will threaten your financial security. You are just scared of those things, period, whether or not you can afford them. You’ve been brought up to believe that those things are bad, period. This is not healthy or wise. Sit down with your fiancé and look over your finances each month. This is purely in your head. You have scarcity mentality. It’s your issue to deal with.

You are supposed to trust that your husband will protect your financial safety and security. If you don’t then you are not ready to be married.
