while i agree that part of the job is upholding the peace and the law, a big part of being an officer is customer service. you work for the people. a lot of it is finding ways to bring the situation down and still being in charge. i don’t know if the officer did that though cause it hasn’t loaded yet

with a call as serious as family violence, separating the two and getting a story straight is important. one could only hope when being promised evidence as indisputable as this, the officers would listen. if the man started acting agitated ( as most would in such a situation ) to the point where officers are worried for others safety, detaining said individual might be the move, although listening and watching the video would also be important. in short, a good officer would get the woman help,…
