I think the key to this question is looking at the differences that both sexes, men and women, are attracted to and choosing to date.

It's really simple. She likes your company but she's telling you in advance she has other priorities that take precedence in her life right now. If you can keep it casual and fun, then you can probably have a friend with benefits. But if you want something more committed and emotionally invested, then move on.

Typically no, people are afraid to speak up their boundaries. But if it is a hard no, I encourage people to start saying it and mean it.

Just FYI also, intimacy and sex are two independent things, look it up.

Tell him in advance and how you are not comfortable yet. Tell him assertively and direct. Tell him it's not mixed signals, no sex.

What's the probability of a woman asking a guy out VS the probability of being struck by lightening?

Build more comfort first.

Restaurants are awkward at best. Ice cream is easier and better.

That's right, how can you fuck someone else if you can't even fuck yourself.

Something fun or flirty about something related to their profile.

Can confirm, LDR is really really really hard. Nothing but absolute sheer respect for those that make it. Takes tremendous resilience and focus to make it work.

Correction, anyone, man or woman, who is constantly seeking validation, from others, is not high quality, and has some serious internal work to do.

Damn this is so well said simply in the title. And the explanation is well written, thank you for the reminder.

What a chad! Props! Non-verbal date challenge accepted. I would come up with a lot of non-verbal activities to do, anything that doesn't require any talking or only minimal. But tons of eye contact, like dancing.

If he was the new alpha, he wouldn't have made this post would he?

Yea I am presuming. There is some talk about the past that is connecting, healthy and even fun. But I'm presuming he's talking about a constant obsession about sleeping with someone other than the person in front of them. That is what I'm presuming.

Correct, she will never be able to focus and cultivate her current present relationship. Always looking in the past, never able to move forward. Not worth anyone's time.

She is the widow of an alpha, a person she perceived as highly attractive highly valuable, but she lost him, one way or another.

Think for a moment man. Absolutely terrible advice.

Not always. I get gay attention but never female attention. It doesn't really translate.

It's happening because that's where her focus and attention is. Clearly she's not present with you and is either having oneitis or an alpha widow. Move on as soon as you can.

I'm confused, help me clarify. So my experiences of having women withdrew their interest after opening up to them are false? And your second line, did you just prove that point that I mind as well just talk to a tree? Or did you mean I shouldn't even need to talk to a tree or anyone at all for that matter?

Oh yea... definitely not falling for that trick if I can be aware of it in the moment. It's a trap, like admiral ackbar says.

I don't follow why you responded with this argument-wise.

And not without reason, had this happen to me several times, who I thought were safe to open up to. Some of them just friends, not even partners. They withdrew either their interest/attraction afterwards.

I haven't gone through all the comments, but are women insulted by this? I only see a handful of opposing comments. So I guess this proves a point doesn't it?

Not just random women, any women. Showing weakness in any form changes how women see men, just biology.

The tree gives me the oxygen to for me to breathe through whatever weak feelings that arise and the energy for me to 'suck it up', as they say.

Tree 100%. I have opened up to a few women over the years that I thought I would be safe with, platonic and romantic dynamics, all of them withdrew their attraction and attention soon after. I fully accepted this is biology. Tough but true pill everyone needs to swallow.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
