yes carrying the conversation as a man is a must there, they are set to give dry answers to “not look to available”, it’s a pain sometimes and unless they’re extremely interested you will put up with this kind of attitude. just how the mentality goes there, people aren’t as open as in other countries romantically

i’m glad for you. i think serbia and macedonia are culturally similar so it shouldn’t be too much of a difference, maybe just different luck for you but dating wise its different than the west, hook up culture is not too prevalent especially for the locals. girls might hoe out but outside of their comfort zone, they’re afraid about what friends think usually, balkan culture is centered on shame

i think times have changed, you gotta talk, build some rapport etc, it’s not the 00s anymore. this won’t work with girls in their early 20s for instance unless they’re very attracted to you as they have plenty of options who are eager to chat them up

tbh be direct with her and just tell her politely, the longer you drag it on the worse it will be for her. ive been in a similar situation a few times and i just ended stuff in a polite way, no hard feelings. giving false hope to someone is the worst thing you can do in a talking stage, so i try to be as clear as possible with no “we can just be friends” bullshit anyways, it’s good that you think this way. most girls just ghost and don’t even have second thoughts about it

I get point #2, and while its right I'd add that if she's not attracted to you no approach will really work, while on the contrary, if she digs you, a simple "hey" will always get a reply. Imo the ones who get approached the most are the mid girls as many guys think they definitely have a chance. This inflates their standards and makes them think they're 10s. I've seen plenty of good looking girls who actually don't get approached as often as you'd think, while the 6s are up in their head thinking no one really deserves them
