I don't think he's putting women on a pedestal, as he said when he's in a social situation he is fine. It's the date itself and because there's a purpose behind the date. I think his best solution is to change his mentality of a date to one where he's just going to hang out with a friend he just met.

Try changing your diet, a diet full of sugar tends to make you lethargic. If you can muster the willpower, get to the gym and get the adrenaline going. Other than that, you just have to force yourself to get off that couch, don't take no for an answer from yourself.

I'm with the other guy, I'll take her, crazy eyes and all.

As someone who works full time and is a full time student, I wish I had the time to go to the gym. I'd have to literally sleep 2 hours a night to make it happen :(

So if I cut off my junk I could go around slapping assess and suffer no repercussions? It might actually be worth it.

I have this problem as well. I find myself calm and collected but it can come off as unenthusiastic and unemotional.

Seriously? I'm thinking the guys getting maimed and slaughtered have it slightly worse than the woman having to move and find a new husband...

In addition to all the other caveats, there are hundreds if not thousands of other guys this has happened to as well.

How is this adding anything to the conversation? Nobody was doubting that there are corporations that rake it in. The only reason I can see for you posting this is an attempt to gloat.

"This article is related to: Minority Groups" How...? Aren't there more women than men in the US, making women the majority?

I'd work on self-improvement first to be honest.. the whole 'you have to love yourself first' thing. Work out, find a hobby, check meetup.com for groups in your area, try and make some friends, be confident (even if you're faking it at first, eventually you forget that you are faking it) and my favorite one... smile. I know how dumb it sounds to just tell someone to smile but believe me, it works. People want to be around the guy who's smiling, he's confident and approachable. You'll get there m…

Yep, this and the obvious one... school. You've already got something in common with them, that makes it so much easier to strike up a conversation.

I totally agree with you. Purposely inconveniencing someone is wrong. I think if you want to like you that you should not always be available... not because you're playing some kind of dating game but because you are a busy person doing interesting things... not because you're going out of your way to be unavailable.

I don't think the article said anything about cancelling plans and being flakey. It said 'don't always be available'. There's a big difference between having your own plans sometimes and making plans only to cancel them later...

It's 50/50 I think. Sometimes its an asshole dad sometimes it's an asshole mom... I'm all for Men's rights but the Dad you describe doesn't deserve a shred of our support.

Yeah because criticizing Obama for being a beta is the same as an 'Obama circlejerk'. You've got plenty of real things to complain about with the guy with if that's your thing.

This man is absolutely correct. He won't believe you because he doesn't think you know what you're talking about. You need to show him the proof.

Oh I know, the questions you posed were definitely thought provoking. My response was more rhetorical and not meant to be directed at you, sorry if you felt they were. :)

I don't understand why she should get a penny of it. Was the compensation not for the hardship he endured by being sent to prison? She did not go to prison so why should she get any of that money? If she feels the states wrongful conviction caused her harm, that's fine.. she can sue the state if she wants but that isn't the ex-husband's problem.

^ This times a million. Just pick something you want to do and start doing it. Don't worry if you think you're not naturally good at it. So what if you play guitar but are never as good as Jimmy Page.. after a while to anyone who isn't a professional musician will think you sound great!
