In my experience from doing the same thing, the best way is to make it playful and less pushy. I would have rolled with the "hey no problem, I guess we had our first date at the gym already ; )" she'd probably respond with a "what do you mean?" And then I'd hit back with "we worked out together". Make another statement that's fun, and ask when she's hitting the gym next. Work in with her, build up that way.

I've had the opposite of you guys, I find when I'm bulking and I looked jacked to the titts women are far more attracted to me. And you can also stay relatively lean on a bulk if you hit maintenance cals with cardio for 3 weeks. The most shredded I've been is 6% bodyfat @ 170lbs, when I was prepping for bodybuilding show and the most heaviest I've been is 235lbs @ around 12-14% bodyfat which is not bad considering.

I read it years ago and it changed my whole outlook on communication with people. Not only with women but everything else. I wish after my last breakup that I remembered the book for what it was. Might have to go re-read it now. This book killed the PUAs.

Good job, if you keep that mindset going even in real life you'll be able to turn down many women! This is one of my biggest faults that I'm working on. Compliments to me make my skin itch. I second that. That advice should even go for men too. When I was in my early to late 20s after every break up I'd just go on a tour of always trying to get laid and have one-night stands. It was fun and it definitely helped with the grieving period but it came with a lot of unnecessary drama and time that I wish I got back. AND MONEY. Soo much money on going on out. Just try dating. If you date a bunch sooner or later the right guy with the right tool for the job will come along.
