I am struggling quite a lot lately, and your post helped me remember that the work never stops. Thank you.

Before trying any medication or contraptions try the amino acids others have suggested. You can also experiment with different adaptogenic herbs (ashwagandha, siberian ginseng, maca, rhodiola rosea, etc.). Also eat foods with high nitric oxide (beets, celery, leafy greens, etc.) to make it harder. Take care of your hormones with diet, sleep and lifting. After trying these you should be good to go.

Exercise with high intensity (lifts, hiit, etc). Clean up your diet. Eat healthy fats. Sleep a lot and with high quality. Quit porn/masturbation. Take cold showers. Try adaptogen herbs (ginseng, rhodiola, maca, etc.) These are the things I know of that should have an impact.

I suggest reading "The effective executive" and understanding the differencw between effective and efficient.

Channel it into productive stuff. I use playing metal guitar and sports for that.

Update: Got some street food, went to her place, the rest is history. I was stuck in my head and overthinking stuff when I wrote the post it seems. Thank you all for the input!

Yeah. I was thinking I'd see how I feel then and maybe cook something at home for both myself and her. If she's game, fine, if not, on to the next one!

Thank you for your insight. I did try to organize a few events and was met with initial enthusiasm, like "Yeah, sounds great! Let's do it!". Afterwards a lot of people stop responding, or come up with some excuse. This did not happen before. That's why I decided to write this, I don't want to go straight to the "Ah, they're just jealous!" explanation, but it does seem to be the most plausible to me.

Thank you for the advice, will take it into account. I think I thought this one pretty well through strategy-wise, although I am going to work on it more. I do think that the quality and positioning of the product is more important than the marketing side. Am I wrong?

Realized that the app I'm working on would be better if implemented as a game. Games also earn more on average than apps. Learned as much as I can about Apple game frameworks and started to work on it. Did not gain any mass this week. Disappointed. After finishing this post I'll go workout and try and push past this plateau. Watched the Rich Froning documentary on Netflix again. Looked at his stats online. Rapidly went from feeling like a viking to feeling like a weakling. Turned that into motiv…

Started going to an entrepreneurship course that's required for me to get funding for my software company. Excited about this! Am at a record weight of 187 lbs. Shooting for 194-ish by the end of the month. I don't seem to have gained much extra fat, although my six pack is not really visible. I'd say 16-17% body fat. Will trim this down in July. Am sleeping as much as I need, although I'm not entirely happy about the schedule. I need to read more, I've been slacking in this area the last few mo…

Positives: Got my first app approved for the Mac App store. I think it's an okay idea and fairly priced so we'll see how it fares. Marketing/design are shit though, I should come up with an update which fixes those. Started a new muscle building program for the month of June. I am near my all-time record weight of 183 pounds but I expected to pass it already. Next week I will get there. Built websites for my first app and the second which is on the way. Also made a personal site to tie it all to…

I'm curious. Do you know any examples of celebrities/historical figures who have both alpha and beta sides? I'm finding it hard to imagine what such an individual might be like.

I just finished college and started making my own apps, I am really early in the process, so I feel like I am not in the position to say too much about it. I currently have an iOS app in TestFlight beta and want to release a simple Mac app next week. What are you working on?

Positives: Completed an early build of an app an got it approved for beta testing: I’m building an app which allows users to be more precise when playing music. Managed to get an early build done and got it reviewed. It is now in the testing phase. Fasted for two days Finished mixing and mastering a single for a local band. Realized my physique sucks. I’m at 16% body fat and about a 19.5% ffmi. Time to work out harder and eat more while maintaining quality (mainly this) Negatives: Still cannot m…

Take a look at the stretching series at gymnasticbodies.com. They do wonders, but it will take time and effort

I'd recommend reading the enchiridion by Epictetus. It's really short and encapsulates what stoicism is all about.

Hi, in addition to quitting porn and lifting you also need to make sure your cardiovascular system works properly, you need to eat a diet that supports proper sexual function (paleo, bulletproof, slow carb, etc. Find what works for you) and you need to sleep at least 7+ hours every night ideally. Working on these solved most of my health/mood problems

Or if you want the "all in" route the most effective and fun (and probably the stupidest) method I've found is this: https://tim.blog/2013/05/11/how-to-gain-20-pounds-in-28-days-the-extreme-muscle-building-secrets-of-ufc-fighters/ This will be torture. But I did put on about 8 kilograms of muscle in a month when I tried it.

I'd recommend eating a healthy diet. If you have more than 10% body fat you can reduce your carbohydrate intake as much as you can without any side effects (I notice I don't really function properly without some carbohydrates). If you do eat carbohydrates, try to get them from stuff like sweet potatoes, carrots, or other vegetables. As for protein, from what I've seen there's no major benefit to consuming more than say 2 grams per pound of bodyweight. If you go higher you just put unnecessary st…

I am not yet a master at overcoming this, but I have made some significant progress. I'd recommend checking out what Jocko Willink, Jordan Peterson and Tim Ferriss have to say on the subject. And most importantly, you need to actually start implementing these ideas and habits. Then you can see what works and what doesn't. Expect it to be really hard and don't ever give up. For time management you can also take a look at the pomodoro technique and for project management you can check out agile fr…

I also find that working through my thoughts and feelings through private journaling helps a lot. I don't really like to be the emotional dude but I also think that completely ignoring that side might be dangerous. Using emotions as fuel for doing "productive things" is also amazing.
