1	My exact response: "lol." She didn't text back. Have you tried showing up at the mechanic's with your own filter and oil? I've had "this guy my family's friend knows" do work and had that experience. I've also had proper professionals (bless the Internet) come in and fix that and do other work, and they always asked me what I want to use and have offered very good advice when I asked their opinion before making my decision. Think of it this way: our antecedents worked very very hard so that we wouldn't need to do it ourselves. You've got the power to boss a group of people around.
