I personally think it's clingy bc we don't really know eachother so there's no reason to be texting a lot. I have things to do and I expect the other person to as well - definitely different if we do know each other a bit better tho.

I agree. (F) Hate it when people on tinder message me on my Instagram, I even tried putting 'don't message me outside of tinder' on my profile because to be honest, people who message me on Instagram are always people I'm not interested in, otherwise we would've matched in tinder.

While the Brad Pitt test could be applicable, it is different on the internet. If Brad Pitt would ask my number irl I would give it. If 'Brad Pitt' would ask my number on tinder I'd be cautious. You never know what kind of person is behind the other side of the screen.

There's a chat service built in tinder for a reason. If I meet the guy and he seems like a decent, fun and socially adjusted human being I'll give my number. If I do that before being able to judge his character it may blow up in my face and end up being a hassle to block his number on whatsapp and provider and such. On tinder it's just an easy unmatch.

Imo, it is too soon. I (f) never give out my number that soon because of the sheer number of stalkers and creeps I've already encountered in my life. I usually get to know the person better before giving my number.

In my experience (f), it could work if you ask to meet up before texting too much and/or too often (like everyday for 2 weeks). Some people like me feel bothered if people text me all the time with nothing interesting to say and just having small talk. It might be boring over text because people have other things to do as well. Things like these are better to have IRL and have a few laughs and fun. Edit: also be prepared for rejection. But at least if they aren't interested, you'll know right aw…

Exactly, I hate when telling people I have a boyfriend, they proceed to stalk me for months. Yes sometimes I lie about having a boyfriend(oftentimes I don't). I'm not interested nor will I ever, which I also literally say sometimes and they still don't stop trying to hit on me every time. It only stops when I block them or something, which I can't do to mutual friends. Please take the hint and move on to another girl.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
