The Church worships Christ, and St. Paul directly compares husband and wife to Christ and the Church. I’m just saying that marriage was not always this way, and is not essentially this way. Yes, 1.0 is illegal. You can imitate it with force of personality, but at that point you’re not being aided by the contract per se. Though, being a Catholic, I do believe a sacramental marriage offers spiritual aids to the husband to hold authority over the wife, and aids to the wife to submit to her husband, merely by existing.
