If she was loud than “putting her in her place” would be saying “excuse me, you are talking loudly and disturbing people around you”. That’s how polite grown up people talk to strangers. “You’re not that interesting” said by an old dude is just plain rude but I bet he was proud of himself. He didn’t do it because she was loud. Do you even enjoy your life if instead of being spontaneous and doing what feels right and natural, you have to follow some silly rules to just get laid on the first tinder date? Have you actually seen it or just pass the wrong information you got from the internet? I spent 2 weeks in Japan and haven't seen any of the things you listed. All vending machines I saw were selling only non alcoholic drinks.

I'm completely fine with splitting the bill, but by that I mean that I'm ready to pay for myself. Believe me or not but I've been on dates when a guy says "Let's split the bill" and he means 50/50 while I only had a salad and one beer and he ordered a huge steak and drank 3 beers. This is not cool, guys.
