I don’t follow PUA tactics, but that’s only because I think they’re entirely useless for guys who are too unattractive. But if it were genuinely possible for even sub 5/10 guys like me to deceive women into thinking I meet their standards, I would absolutely employ them in a heartbeat. Sure, it’s not fair to women, but it’s also not fair that some guys are just born undesirable to women. Life isn’t fair, and they’ll just have to deal with it in the same way we do.

Well, although it’s not the fulfillment of which I’m speaking, sexual desire is a major component too. Women don’t understand how painful it is to never be sexually desired since they spend their lives dealing with the opposite problem of experiencing too much desire from men. I can’t feel like a real man when no woman has ever wanted to be with me romantically or sexually. Regardless, there’s just a sort of indescribable feeling associated with finding a loving partner. Just about every person …

I have had friends. Friendship is nice, but it doesn’t offer the same kind of fulfillment, and I’m sure you know this. Please don’t be disingenuous.

This is an oversimplification on many levels. I normally wouldn’t respond to this, considering how little thought was put into it and how unlikely my voice is to reach you, but I’m pretty bored right now I specifically stated that the end goal is for women to be less restricted by superficial qualities to develop attraction to someone they might otherwise ignore. Your comment gives the impression that I think women should be shamed into dating men who disgust them. A woman who is happy with a ma…

As an incel, I think the fundamental reason for this is because, unlike the redpill, the blackpill ideology has as a fundamental tenet that there really is no reasonable solution to our problems. That’s why many incels will post about ridiculous proposals (like enforces monogamy), since we have often tried most sane responses that the bluepill and redpill suggest. Even I have my own radical ideas that I generally keep to myself. However, I do think there are some incels who are fairly skilled wi…

My perspective and hope is that it will become generally accepted as shameful again to desire characteristics like height, attractiveness, etc. in men. It is well documented that women in particular can become more attracted to someone the longer they get to know that person. But as it stands, men who lack some immutable traits that women “prefer” (require) don’t get any chances to even spend the requisite time for a women to grow attracted. If women were willing to even just accept more date of…

I played Soccer/Football for a few years as a kid. It didn’t last long because I didn’t enjoy it much and because I had no friends there. I’m a social pariah in almost any circumstance.

This is pretty much what OP is saying though. The number of men who are in FWB relationships with ONE woman let alone multiple is exceedingly uncommon. It’s misleading then to say that “men are the gatekeepers of commitment” when it’s just these rare men to whom the statement really applies.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/20 05:45 PM
2

Well, to better answer your question then, I’ll echo the obvious sentiment that it depends highly on the guy. Like for me personally, all I need to form a crush on someone is the knowledge that she likes me back. Like, a genuine romantic interest in me would be enough to look past even ugly girls’ looks. I say this partly from experience, since I have in the past—mistakenly—assumed an objectively unattractive girl had feelings for me, and that made me legitimately dream about her.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/20 06:41 PM

Would this “hypothetical” woman be willing to date a man who is an objective 3/10? A lot of women tend to look at 5/10 guys as 3/10 and such, so it’s possible that such an unattractive woman would still be trying to aim above her league. It sounds kind of brutal when I put it this way, but this is just the sad reality we ugly people have to live with. You have to determine which is stronger for you: desperation or your self-respect. For me it’s admittedly the former, but some people would rather…

I thought it was implied by what I wrote, but yes I have recently started taking the gym more seriously. And I’ve always done what I’ve enjoyed. I’m actually quite passionate about a variety of topics.

Oh now I think I understand what you’re asking. Yeah, I’ve tried a whole bunch of self-improvement tactics. Nothing has worked so far. The only hope I have left is that lifting will allow me to look like my age instead of a teen. You can see my other comments in this thread for perspective on why my prospects are so dire.

Try and practice taking lower and slower Does that actually work? I’m not asking this to be a smartass or anything, I’m genuinely curious if anyone has had success from this. I tried recording myself talking a bit lower, but I sounded silly, like a kid doing an impression of a “grown-up.”

His health might suffer, but for guys as desperate as us (or at least me), there really isn’t any way for our self-esteem to get lower. Not advocating for him to accept an abusive relationship, but I can definitely understand why it might be negotiable for him. It’s hard for someone to comprehend who hasn’t experienced complete isolation and total rejection from every single woman one has met.

Nope lol. The max amount of facial hair I get is a few wisps. It’s so little that even if I took supplements to help grow more, it still wouldn’t be enough to look good. A beard is simply out of the question.

Yeah, I’m short too. I got fucked over by just about every single unmasculine trait there is, except balding thankfully (so far at least...)

I appreciate the encouragement, man. Lifting is just about the only option I have left since I can’t even grow facial hair or anything. Plus my voice is kind of high pitch. I guess I could look into taking testosterone supplements or something. Hopefully I’ll start looking like an adult in a few years, but it’s depressing that my youth was destroyed entirely by my genetics.

Yeah, I’ve recently started, but I’ve got a long way to go. It’s the only hope I have left. Even if I don’t get any girls from it, I hope it helps make me look like an actual adult, since looking like a kid has so many negative consequences even aside from dating. I hear all the time though about how girls don’t even care about muscles as much as guys do though. Makes me wish I were gay instead lol.

I think the reason they tend to not want me is the fact that I still look like I’m a teen despite all my efforts to look my age. So for them it would kind of be like dating a child, which is extra weird when they have one of their own. Still, there was actually one time where an older woman was hitting on me. She was very clearly drunk, and I was at work and so shocked by the situation that I just kind of froze up, not knowing how to respond. It was very weird, and she seemed immediately embarra…

I’m not entirely sure I understand the question. I’m a guy, so obviously I don’t expect women to ask me out. That only happens to Chads, and as I stated, I’m quite the opposite lol. If you’re asking what methods I’m using to try to get dates, I’ve tried just about every dating app and asking out acquaintances. Cold approach is a load of bs that, again, really only works for Chads and maybe Chadlites.

I’m a LVM, so my standards are basically non-existent. I’m only 22, so I’d probably rule out single moms, but even then I don’t know for sure since it’s not like I’ve ever had a single mom romantically/sexually interested in me.

Because, as we’ve been saying, it’s less about the lack of sex itself. What is much, much more soul-crushing is the constant rejection. How would you feel if you constantly received signals that you aren’t worth anyone’s time or that you were undesirable, unfeminine, etc? Women can deal with virginity better because almost every single time, it’s because they have voluntarily chosen to remain single/virgins. The few exceptions also tend to be miserable from my experience, e.g. femcels (although …

This is simply false. I know this graph gets shown a lot here, but it pretty much invalidates the argument that “there’s about the same number of men and women, so surely they must be having the same amount of sex.” Or do women just sleep with a small shared pool of men? This is the most likely hypothesis.

Men expect things from their partner, as they should... I’m not demanding any of the things you’ve listed here. I literally just want a mentally stable girlfriend, and apparently that’s asking too much. I’m always amazed when these ridiculous strawman arguments find support here. “Many men don’t do this, many men don’t do that.” Then women wouldn’t be getting into relationships with any man if these considerations were the primary concern. Either that, or if she learned or had reason to suspect …

I’m not going to go so far as to claim you’re being disingenuous, but there are so many women I’ve heard claim to not care about height, masculinity, money, or other such things, whose dating history did not support this whatsoever. It makes sense too; who would want to admit that they’re a shallow asshole? This kind of goes hand in hand with what I was saying earlier that makes me so upset: the common outright denial of the issue. Even if you are being honest (not just with me, but yourself), i…

Height is damning enough as it is. I remember seeing a poll that said about three quarters of women would not date a man at my height (5’6). If you think your chances of getting into a relationship are slim, imagine what it’s like when literally 75% of the opposite gender immediately disqualifies you for something over which you have no control. But since you asked, here are some other common requirements that seem to be fairly common. Not all are outside of men’s control, but the impossible sta…

For reference, I’m an incel who doesn’t outright hate women, but I am incredibly bitter toward them and resentful of the numerous privileges they have. Honestly, I’m not sure if anything can be done at this point. The obvious thing would be if a girl actually gave me a chance at some point, but I think I’m too far gone at this point. I’m nearly 23, and it’s hard to just forget about all the years of rejection, isolation, and depression that has indirectly come about due to neglect from women col…

I was a fairly happy child, so there’s no reason for me to not believe that the loneliness was in fact the cause of my depression in the first place as I entered adolescence. Truthfully, this loneliness went beyond merely being unable to get sex (I couldn’t even make friends), but these sorts of things often go hand in hand. Regardless, the lack of a sex has caused people like me to be suicidal whether they’re already depressed due to other factors or not, it’s clearly contributing in a serious …

It’s kind of insulting to the people who do experience suicidal ideation over loneliness and sexlessness to just completely dismiss them like this. What’s actually insulting to depressed people is saying things like “You’re not actually depressed, just get over it!” Either you have no experience with depression yourself, or you’re letting your personal ideology blind you to the same things you would decry in other situations. For perspective, I was clinically diagnosed with Major Depressive Diso…

Lmao Tyrion Lannister fucked prostitutes who didn’t actually like him. If you’re going to use a fictional character to support your claims, at least choose one who supports your argument. For the record, I’m in good shape, I have developed my own sense of fashion and embraced it (slightly more formal than necessary, not some comic book t-shirts or some shit), and I’ve generally done everything I can for my looks. I’m not sure what the larger point is here, but it’s absolutely untrue that height is completely random. There is of course chance involved, but generally a shorter parent is more likely to produce short offspring. This is admittedly somewhat reductive, as it doesn’t account for things like recessive genes, but that’s a needless digression from the overall trend which still holds.

My mother is around my height, and she married my father who is like 6’ tall. Women have bad genetics too, and they’ll continue to pass it on since there are practically no standards they have to meet to find someone. On the matter of a Ferrari, I could buy one by saving money and putting enough hard work into my career. There is no analogue for getting a woman, which is the source of my anger. In my view, it is totally justified to resent the unforgiving standards of the group who are entirely …

I get this is supposed to be an inversion of the “roast beef vagina” memes, but it doesn’t really work as well. I’m not saying that because I’m butthurt; in fact, since I am a virgin this should make me feel better about myself. But that’s just the thing: I would assume the goal should be to make me feel worse, not better. It might work better if the link was reversed, that is, if some silly explanation was give to indicate men without sex have smaller penises.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/20 10:20 PM

Saying that there are people who can’t get laid because of their personality is a lot different from saying that the only reason someone can’t get laid is because of personality. The latter stance is how I read your prior comment. If you’re seriously implying that every virgin male is alone because he’s a wacko like Eliot Rodgers, then I don’t know what to tell you.

What does it matter whether you call it “entitlement” or not? Men want sex. Men get pissed when they’re not able to get it. Men get extra pissed when the reasons they can’t get it are entirely out of their control. I may not be entitled to sex, but I am entitled to my bitterness over my virginity.

When I was more naïve, I would read posts from women about their dissatisfaction with their male partners. I figured that I would just need to be receptive to what they wanted and listen unlike the careless guys who didn’t. How foolish I was. Turns out, the fact that I’m 5’6 precludes me from being physically capable of pleasuring women, regardless of what I do. This is why men don’t give a shit about whether women get off or not; so much of it is out of our control anyway. Women can’t really lo…

To answer your question with a question, why shouldn’t men feel resentment for these women who have spurned them for more physically attractive men? Because you can date and fuck whomever you want? Well, unattractive men can’t.

I disagree with this advice, but that’s besides the point anyway. Your initial claim was that men can compete for women and get what they want through enough hard work. For some men (perhaps a lot even, but that’s a separate argument), this is simply not the case.

I’m not entirely sure from where you’re drawing that conclusion or how it would even ruin my premise. The data show that women are increasingly not sleeping with men they find to be “bottom tier,” so no I would not say that this invalidates my argument. In fact, in my view it strengthens the argument. The world is changing so that women are becoming less content with the average man, whether that change is due to feminism or some other factor is not entirely pertinent at the moment. What is pert…

Self-improvement isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. I’ve spent several years self-improving, altering my hairstyle and wardrobe, working hard in my professional endeavors, improving my awful social skills, and none of it mattered. I’m no better for all my efforts, because I’m too short, too unmasculine in appearance, and too different from most people. Dating isn’t a fair game where you are rewarded for the amount of effort you put into it. There are clueless high-schoolers who were born attracti…

That seemed highly tangential at best. Also, to reiterate, that’s not in the graph I was referencing. That’s the percentage of men and women who have gone the past year without sex. It’s possible that that figure is similar to the percentage of virgins, as it is for men, but I haven’t actually seen the data for that. In any case, the amount of female sexlessness isn’t immediately relevant to the conversation. If you’re proposing it does have relevance, then you’ll have to justify it.

The original post said that 28% of men 18-30 didn’t have sex in the past year. I am aware of that figure. The graph I displayed is similar but different, averring that 27 percent of men have not had sex since 18 (which doesn’t technically mean they’re virgins, but it is pretty damn close). I admit I have been looking for the source, and I am as yet unable to locate it. I will edit this message if I do find the original source of the figure. society crumbling is an incel fantasy Why is this idea so far-fetched to you? I’ll present my argument in favor of its plausibility, and I’d like you to point out either the error in my reasoning, or why you overall disagree with a particular conclusion. The current figure of virgin young men is around 30 percent. Moreover, as the linked graph also demonstrates, this number has been on the rise for the past decade, and it stands to reason that it will continue to climb until it reaches an equili…

I guess this is only tangentially related, but I’m curious what your major disagreements with the blackpill are. The misogyny that is admittedly common amongst incels is a personal reaction to the blackpill, not inherent to it. The blackpill is similar to the redpill, except it also holds that a significant portion of men cannot attain any romantic or sexual attraction even through all the self-improvement in the world. Many of us have certainly tried, and yet we’re still just as hopelessly alon…

This is an extremely well thought-out comment, and you have my utmost respect for that. As such, there’s a lot for me to break down and respond to, but I’ll try my best. The phrasing of the the final sentence of your first paragraph is somewhat ambiguous, but it does make it sound like you’re a survivor of rape, and I hope you can at least believe that I can sympathize with that. The guys who want commitment are generally passed over for the men who just want to fuck, so I’d say the fault generally rests on the mating choices of women. They could pick the lonely virgin who just wants a steady girlfriend, but he’s not hot enough or masculine enough, so they go for men who can get sex with ease. Not all of them just want sex, but if you can get casual sex with ease, it makes sense that it would be something you’d desire.

This is precisely why it is important to empathize. I’m not a woman, so yes I would actually appreciate the massive amounts of sexual attention you get in DMs. However, I’m able to step back for a moment and rationalize that it’s probably more annoying than anything from your perspective. But that’s the just the thing: it’s a mere annoyance to you. The other end of the extreme, getting no romantic/sexual attention whatsoever, goes far beyond a mere annoyance. And in a similar vein, you as a woma…

Yeah, that’s my fundamental issue with trp. Encouraging men to become the top 20% isn’t going to solve anything in the long term. Firstly, not all men are even capable of becoming that desirable to women (if you’re short, ugly, etc.). Secondly, it wouldn’t increase the number of men getting into relationships. It will always be the top 20%, although the standards for that top 20% may rise.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 10:18 PM

Be that as it may, the comment to which I replied seemed to suggest that women pursue men for relationships in a comparable way men pursue women for sex. Yes, average men can and do get into relationships, but that’s not the same thing as having “power” over relationships. Such a comparison is entirely unwarranted imo. Maybe I’m just misinterpreting though.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 05:09 PM

Men overall don’t have any relationship power. Women pursue relationships with the 20% or so of men they find desirable, but they’re just as apathetic about forming bonds with remainder as they are toward having sex with them. Women have all the privilege and power.
