Male privilege absolutely exists and as far as I'm concerned men are definitely safer at night than women. The post in this sub is saying that men's privilege doesn't exist because we also get attacked at night sometimes. Idk, this seems to be a pretty subjective matter but this post and the whole "men dont have privilege because of x" argument leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Holy shit I thought this sub was about equality, why is everyone up voting a post that is basically "you have no need to be scared because I have issues too" Why would you invalidate the struggles of others if we could acknowledge the struggle and try to minimize it?

That's the best way. I'll be fine, I'm doing well otherwise, just a few drinks every night and some light usage on weekends.

That's fine, I see why in that situation shaming someone would make sense, but I'd still try a different approach first, because otherwise you'll never get anywhere

Again, as long as you do it safe, I see no issues. Shaming is not the right option, it tends to make people dismiss you. There are better ways, being empathetic and helping people will always be better than shaming people.

Unfortunately I'm an alcoholic and a druggo and I tell myself it's because I'm young and I'm allowed to be. I get that it's wrkng but I think shaming people for the c hoices affecting only them is flawed. Shaking people for littering, smoking in public, not wearing masks and other things is fine tho

I mean, I've been mostly in monogamous relationships, but I have been on both ends of the story and I can say being a slut and having sex with guys is a crutch for some people just as much as alcohol or extreme sports. Strictly speaking, in anything you do, if you do it wrong you could get hurt. In that case, it's your fault and you'll live with it for the rest of your life. The whole stigma around "sluts" is hurtful to people who enjoy having sex with new people, experiencing what they do or do…

I'm aware, I said that.

Why is it bad? Sure, it has a stigma, but at the end of the day having alot of sexual partners is hurting nobody and as long as it's safe is a great passtime

Well no, everyone was shitty. Nobody was 100% correct, but No one was an outright asshole either (except for the young lady)

To everyone who is saying that women say being a slut isn't bad but also refuse to call themselves sluts around you, take a look in the mirror before pointing out their double standard. Why would they admits they're sluts to you if all you're gonna do is criticize them?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
