The law (in the US at least, where this is an issue) does think this way so regardless of a single man or woman's feelings on it, men are at the very least financially responsible for children they create, whether they wanted to or not, so they should make their decisions with that reality in mind. Over 90% of custody agreements are handled OUTSIDE of court, meaning the parties come to a conclusion on their own. Most mothers who have primary custody have it because the father found that arrangement agreeable. Child support is determined by income, not gender.
