She apparently doesn't know much about feet, either. Size 10 is huge. Average (American) womens' shoe size is 8. "Anyone under size 10" would be almost all of them. I'd hate to have to fend her off from humping my size 3s... o.0

I guess the assumption is that they are all just jerks that have the money but refuse to hand it over. Again, makes no sense, but that's the only conclusion I can draw from such a silly law. In my state (Georgia) they suspend his driver's license and put him in jail until he pays, which makes no sense, because if he couldn't pay before, he certainly can't from jail or when he loses his job from being in jail.

This is my thought, too. Maybe just build it in to the labor/delivery process so that no one feels "persecuted" by having to go through the test. If it was a standard part of the process, after a few years of it being "normal", no one would feel like they are being targeted or doubted. Well, I don't think the cultural bias has anything to do with it... I am pregnant and I plan on breastfeeding, as many of my friends do, and I plan on doing so whenever and where ever the child gets hungry. Breastfeeding (in a traditional sense) doesn't bother me at all. But, the gender thing really does blow my mind. I'm not offended by it, just... confused in a disturbing way.

What kind of people staff juries these days that this kind of thing happens? I don't know where I heard it, but someone said "The only people that are on jury duty are the ones too dumb to get out of it." That's a sad statement, but it seems to be somewhat true.

That is in-fucking-sane. Why would he owe anything? It seems to me that the state owes him a ton of cash right now. He's paid a lot of money, been jailed for a total of 17 months, and been homeless (I'm speculating that the money he paid during the time the was homeless may have prevented him from being homeless), all for a child that wasn't his. W. T. F.??? ETA - And they knew it wasn't his since 2000... WTF!?
