Congrats on your recovery love I know you were in the trenches.🤍 I totally forgot to mention but yes, that was a huge part of it for me too. I had problems with emotional/social regulation but from untreated ADHD. Ofc the only people who will be that invested in us are our parents and grandparents. Our friends aren’t personal emotional sponges! Very true about the feel good emotions. I suppose just having empathy for them (I put them in a bad position) but also myself..

I personally don’t subscribe to “love me at my worst or you don’t deserve me at my best”. I work toward excellence from myself daily. Replying feels like it would strip me of my dignity (lack of self respect). There’s an imbalance in the relationship now since I’m the “abandoned” one. There’s the possibility they’re just testing their access to me / get a shallow update on me, then ghost again once they get what they want. My feelings would be hurt. I realize I never worked on this emotionally, …

It was my 2 closest friends who left, I was in a lot of pain as a 15 year old girl which was a big reason I fixated on wokeism (like how ppl say no happy person acts like that). It was a coping mechanism. I also had untreated ADHD which wrecks havoc on your social interactions. Many symptoms of ADHD involve social and emotional regulation so paired with wokeism, I crashed and burned😖 Luckily I’m now on stimulant meds and work very hard to be mindful when speaking, huge improvement My mental heal…

I used to when I started out and they definitely helped me tap into my feminine energy! but they can be repetitive after you get to a certain point. It’s easy to think there’s only one type of femininity. And depending on the channel it may dwell on low vibration relationship drama as examples to viewers

Yah I totally get the whole “food porn” “car porn” trend, it was the first message just about porn that was weird. We’re both very enthusiastic which is great! If I continue feeling uncomfortable with his jokes I’ll drop that connection. Thanks for disagreeing, I’m glad to get a different viewpoint!

Same, but I’ve been trying to be more open and give people the benefit of the doubt as of late. What’s the best way to make it clear the comment was off putting? I have ADHD and do like people on the hyper, excited side of things so his energy is great

here’s what I’ve done to improve myself so far (2 years): -my looks (botox for my gummy smile, micro blading to add facial symmetry, tretinoin for acne, no-makeup makeup, grew my hair out) -body (workout daily and stay thin, raw plant based) -fashion (modest but not frumpy.. I hope? https://imgur.com/a/bLHQM7Y I feel most happy and carefree in loose Korean inspired clothing. if I wore something tighter I wouldn’t feel as good.) -personality (less brash, more friendly, therapy, thinking before I …

I can’t really think of any. Even something low intensity like yoga or jogging would have your whole behind exposed after 3 min. Maybe try for pastel workout outfits and slightly longer+looser tops so it’s not super suggestive

I had an extremely feminist radical-leftist upbringing and it has definitely damaged me. I would say the number 1 thing feminism hurt me with was teaching me that empowerment was being obnoxious and recreating brash toxic male energy. Aggressive and burping without covering your mouth are all “quirky” cool girl things(wish I was making this up guys). Being an SJW and burning all the bridges around you over small things is what you have to do for the cause! Who cares about the connections you’re …

Exactly, and traditional gender roles mean the man is actually in his role. Not the woman being submissive and the man being mediocre! Both come with their best

Well a great way you can show your support is by being his escape in a way. You don’t have to labour and be tough along side him but you can do nice things for him etc. Make him feel like he can relax and unwind around you:)

Well it may be good to increase your confidence for emotional improvements and safety but there’s nothing inherently wrong with your man taking the lead and you falling back as long as it works for you two. Maybe ask him if he minds. He probably likes the feeling of protecting you

It’s just jealousy. They make it seem like a bad thing so the bar is lower and they can stay mediocre

I agree. If they thought most men were good they wouldn’t be so worried about their female loved ones out and about around males

I agree but one thing confuses me. When men have daughters they say men are trash. They drill it into our heads to keep our guard up, how to protect ourselves from being raped by ANY man we come across, not to be alone with them, that they’re dogs, “I know what they’re thinking” all of that. How come fathers do this? It seems like they believe men are trash?

I think certain things can definitely cause resentment over time so height actually could cause an issue, just not for reason detailed above. Certain men will always feel emasculated next to a woman who is bigger/taller than them.

Either he doesn’t want you looking super feminine because he feels it will attract guys who can compete with him for you, or he just likes seeing your body more day to day.

I think because most people don’t acknowledge black women’s femininity so they see the value in it a lot more than perhaps a woman of another race who takes it for granted.

What do you mean by inhibit my ability to find/keep a good man?

It’s definitely crossed my mind, but I love seeing my female therapist. I already feel a bond with her and I would miss her very much if I switched to someone else. I will ask her what she thinks could help this week. I’m quite petite so protecting myself has always been in the back of my mind anyway (I can’t always expect a man to step in and save me, no matter how feminine I am). I’m not allowed to carry a gun or even pepper spray [anything with the intent of self defence really] in my country…

Eat 95% whole foods diet The Ordinary’s Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion, it’s a stronger yet more soothing version of retinol. It’s not allowed for sale in some countries because you need a prescription from a derm for such strength but it’s so gentle on the skin. She’s made jokes and then other times she’s said I should be careful that I don’t mix up “classic” and “conservative”. This other time we went shopping and I saw a pair of brown sandals and she started laughing at me saying not to get them and she was “saving” me (sandals that match your skin tone elongate your legs, and they were still youthful. as a shorter girl I don’t see the problem but I digress). That makes a lot of sense, they want to keep you on the same level? I’ve noticed day-to-day men treating me a lot better ever since I started becoming more feminine. A smile, grace, gratitude, taking care of myself, and womanly fashion have taken me a long way💗

She goes on a basis of privilege so she believes that if a person is more privileged than her, they can “take it”:/ For instance she’s overweight and I’m slim so she’ll make little jokes about me being fat because in her mind, slim people are confident and privileged

I hope you know you didn’t deserve that babe. The ability to grow life is so beautiful. I’m going to try to work through my mental blocks and be more content. My grandmother on my father’s side would probably love my style and I haven’t seen her in awhile. I’ll visit her
