Pre-Divorce AdviseDude, aside from the "Don't move out" pattern you can see forming...DON'T MOVE OUT. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/06/22 05:58 PM
What advice would you give to a single 20 year old man for his eventual future relationship and marriage with a woman? And don't shrug off early warning signs. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/06/22 01:00 PM
Wife wants a divorceLawyer up, file fast/first, and realize you are now adversaries...think winning the war not little skirmishes. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/06/22 12:39 PM
2 years post divorceThis all happened during a global pandemic so no matter your own beliefs, it did limit the social pool somewhat. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/06/22 12:20 PM
Am I being selfish and cruse to consider divorce?Very true. On the whole downvote thing, there's a certain segment on reddit that seems to equate anyone not sacrificing themself for someone else's mental issues as some kind of crime against humanity. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/06/22 10:56 PM
Am I being selfish and cruse to consider divorce? This is probably going to get downvoted but being in a relationship with someone that has depression (not the occasional I'm having a bad day, but the real deal I don't want to get out of bed for a week) is massively draining and quickly becomes a one-way relationship (you catering to their needs only). It's just not worth it. Kids make is messier, but you slogging through a decade of hell isn't in their best interest either. edit: typo | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/06/22 01:49 PM
What are some not so obvious red flags us younger men should look out for?Yeah, they aren't stand alone flags...just part of the whole picture. Good point. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/04/22 02:52 PM
What are some not so obvious red flags us younger men should look out for?Pay attention to small things... Does she ever do something little yet sweet out of the blue (if so that's good). Does she put more than 2 minutes of thought in about things that don't revolve around her? (a thoughtful small gift for your bday vs. some generic gift that could literally be plug and play for anyone...choosing your place to eat once in awhile over her favorite..etc.) Basically, watch for signs of selfishness. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/04/22 01:20 PM
Does anybody else feel bad for Will Smith? No. Instead or slapping an unexacting smaller comedian with his hands behind his back on a stage maybe he could grow a pair and not be a doormat for that cunt. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/22 01:35 PM
How do y’all feel about ever getting married again?No thank you | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/03/22 08:58 PM
Please Gentlemen, if your ex or STBXW says, “You’re the one that got away”, don’t believe her.Or, believe her and stay the f away still. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/03/22 11:59 AM
Why is she asking for all this extra information?Yeah, time to consult with an attorney and maybe just freeze your communication with her until you do. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/01/22 05:12 AM
So I’m probably screwedTalk to a lawyer. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/01/22 02:49 PM
Can I please hear some positive stories about divorce? I'm just starting to go through separationNo, there wasn't. But yes, it was like winning the Powerball. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/22 08:30 PM
Can I please hear some positive stories about divorce? I'm just starting to go through separationThis isn't true. It's low but not 0% I had one of the smoothest divorces I've seen (from peers/online and so on). No freak outs, no underhanded b/s, just a rather calm and short negotiation without a lawyer. Used a cheap no-conflict lawyer service for the paperwork/filing. Smooth sailing years after. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/22 02:49 PM
Divorce lawsI find it odd how one person gets all the financial benefits of being married (access to ex-spouse's assets) while being free from the bounds of marriage. It's like fully guaranteed contracts in sports. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/22 07:41 PM
Divorce in NYYeah, no way you should move out. And, now you need to stop catering to her desires. Look out for #1. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/01/22 06:26 PM
As a man who never wants to get married… is it true that you noticed your women changing after your honeymoon and what changes did you notice ?Yes. Went from trying to make us happy to trying to make herself happy. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/01/22 08:19 PM
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I’m tired seeing the comments section filled with “GET A LAWYER”.It's probably stated so many times because of how important and yet ignored it is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/11/21 02:55 PM
Am I the only here who is seriously considering never marrying again even if I find my "soulmate"?I would be hard pressed to ever marry again. The risk-reward just isn't on a guy's side in most instances. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/21 05:19 PM
Reminder: 50% of all Marriages in Divorce. 90% of all divorces/separation is initiated by the wife, 90% of custody is given to Mothers.Yikes, those are brutal stats. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/09/21 08:05 PM
I guess it’s over nowYeah, you have lots of time, so take a year to take care of yourself. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/08/21 04:07 PM
I guess it’s over nowAnother silver lining, and I know it's harsh to hear, but you dodged a lot of bullets there. I don't know your age but I'm guessing you still have time to have a family and buy a house (and home ownership isn't really the end all be all). | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/08/21 03:18 PM
I guess it’s over nowSucks but silver lining is you have one of the cleanest splits you could ask for. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/08/21 02:46 PM
Trial Separation - Any Experience/Rules/Advice?Did not see the clarification that it was your idea. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/04/21 07:54 PM
Trial Separation - Any Experience/Rules/Advice?Yeah, this sounds like manipulation and not a request made in sincerity. If it's over it's over. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/04/21 05:16 PM
STBX Behavioral ChangesI always though it was bizarre when changes made after, some very small, would have gone miles to help keep things healthy in the first place. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/04/21 05:11 PM
Why working out is your most important toolDon't just leave it to weights. Yoga is something you can do alone or with others. Post-Covid, join classes, take a martial art (BJJ is a great workout and if you find a good gym a great way to meet new people). There are even running groups all over the place. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/12/20 03:02 PM
My (28M) Wife (27F) told me that she no longer loves me during an argument.. heated by emotions or should I be concerned? No kids in the equation so that's good. But, I would be concerned if you're both nearing 30, have been together awhile, and arguments break out into attacks on each others' emotions. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/07/20 07:48 AM
She is having a bad day so she canceled our Mediation appointment this morning!Eyes on the prize, play the long game. Patience wins out as long as you aren't racking up too many billable hours. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/07/20 07:31 AM
How do you finally get past the fear and guilt?Stop focusing on things and start focusing on experiences. Dropping all that "stuff" can been pretty amazing. Make sure to give your kids what they need, then just start trying to find things to do, travel, day trips, group activities, etc. Get out of your comfort zone. You no longer have to live up to someone else's expectations, so be a little selfish and just enjoy each day for what it is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/07/19 11:31 AM
