Because of the idea that men have agency and women don't -- in other words, a large part of our society (subconsciously) thinks that only men are responsible for their actions, and the actions of women are caused by their surroundings, not them. Thus, they think that if a man cheats, it's his fault, and if a woman cheats, it's still his fault because he wasn't "good enough." ​ I'm (almost) sure that if you use the right words you'll be able to convince them to stop acting like that.

I have read it (it's very short btw), and I took it as satire. The dictionary definition of satire is "the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues." I personally think this book was written to expose/bring awareness to how badly our society is structured. Shit. You're right, outside of the last sentence. I genuinely believed what I said, but I was waaay to hung up on the dictionary definition of feminism - and honestly, probably what the media says too. I still think patriarchy causes some MRA problems and not all feminists suck, but yeah, feminists cause a lot of problems MRAs are fighting against.

I know, I wasn't saying to start supporting feminists (I know there's a lot of issues with what some of them do), just to stop immediately blaming things on them and to acknowledge that patriarchy causes many of the men's rights issues. If more people acknowledge patriarchy causes a lot of these issues and stop blaming feminism, more people will support this movement. Edit: my sentences were confusing so I rewrote them

I completely agree with you; the only reason why I said to create a club for "everyone" to join is because its more likely that the teacher will agree with it. Like the OP said, "imagine the outrage if they opened a boys only coding club." The OP said he wanted to be able to join a coding club, and I just wrote what I thought would have the highest chance of succeeding. But, of course, he could take the other route and try to fight against the injustice of the existing club.

I'm pretty sure that's a national/worldwide club...I was filling out an NCWIT form and that was on a list that asked what I was part of... But before doing anything crazy, you should talk to one of your teachers or advisors about this...who knows, maybe you'll start a club (it'll look good for colleges!).
