The thing about "not all men" is that it's (more often than not) unironically brought up in response to a valid argument on sexism. We know that not all men are like that- that's obviously true. Unless someone is saying that all men are rapists/pigs/trash/etc, then playing the "not all men" card is avoiding the issue and you are complicit in the misogyny.
