It's got tons of nerves, blood vessels, smooth muscle, and intricate tissue structures. A circumcised clitoris is permanently exposed to the outside world. Doesn't sound great? That's exactly the case with a penis. Foreskin protects the penis in the same way. I urge you to read up on the function and purpose of foreskin. Foreskin is a misnomer; it's much more than skin. It protects the penis from drying out, functions during sex, mechanically and sensually. In the appendectomy case, of course the benefits outweigh the cons (appendicitis is life-threatening, having foreskin is not) However, with foreskin, there are negative consequences to removing all the function I mentioned earlier.
