Guys my dad was on tv 😳Infant circumcision takes a way a man's right to bodily integrity and autonomous over his body. This sub's name is all you need to know to understand why we don't like routine infant circumcision. | /r/MensRights | 08/08/19 08:21 PM
Guys my dad was on tv 😳What's your point? It's still an important part of a man's body and should not be amputated without consent. | /r/MensRights | 08/08/19 06:16 PM
Guys my dad was on tv 😳It's not just skin. Read up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreskin. How would you even know? Do some research; start above. | /r/MensRights | 08/08/19 07:04 AM
Guys my dad was on tv 😳Except foreskin isn't a piece of skin. It's a mucous membrane like the inside of your cheek or eyelid. It's got tons of nerves, blood vessels, smooth muscle, and intricate tissue structures. I would rather believe it was a useless piece of skin, since I'm also circumcised, but it's not. | /r/MensRights | 08/08/19 04:18 AM
Guys my dad was on tv 😳There's a form of female circumcision which removes the clitoral hood, which is analogous to circumcision. A circumcised clitoris is permanently exposed to the outside world. Doesn't sound great? That's exactly the case with a penis. Foreskin protects the penis in the same way. I urge you to read up on the function and purpose of foreskin. Foreskin is a misnomer; it's much more than skin. It's a complex, highly-vascular, sensitive mucous membrane that prevents the penis from drying out. It's not… | /r/MensRights | 08/08/19 04:12 AM
Circumcision double standards. Injustice for boys.I think your line of reasoning makes sense, but your base assumption is incorrect. "genital mutilation" is an accurate description when you're informed about the function of the foreskin, please take the time to read and understand the post above. | /r/MensRights | 29/06/19 08:22 PM
Mother laughs while her son gets mutilatedSo parent can consent to have their kids fingers removed? I think hands look much better without fingers so let's go ahead and do that. Oh fingers are useful and have function? So is foreskin, so let's leave babies' dicks alone; how about that? | /r/MensRights | 21/03/19 02:15 AM
Mother laughs while her son gets mutilatedI will try to explain why this is a poor analogy: Foreskin has function. It has smooth muscle, numerous neurons, mucous membrane, high vascularization. It protects the penis from drying out, functions during sex, mechanically and sensually. In the appendectomy case, of course the benefits outweigh the cons (appendicitis is life-threatening, having foreskin is not) However, with foreskin, there are negative consequences to removing all the function I mentioned earlier. All the "benefits" you me… | /r/MensRights | 20/03/19 10:28 PM
Mother laughs while her son gets mutilatedYou're on a men's rights sub. Infant circumcision violates a man's right to bodily autonomy. It doesn't take a genius to see why this sub is anti-circumcision. You say "mutilated AND brainwashed" ironically, but yes, you are. | /r/MensRights | 20/03/19 10:17 PM
A father strips away his sons right to bodily autonomy.Couple things here. First, we're glad you're questioning circumcision; I wish my mom was more skeptical when my dad insisted. Lot's of men here don't find foreskin "weird" and wish they were never circumcised. Your future sons could feel the same way. Most people think foreskin is "just skin", but it has many different kinds of tissue and has actual functions. It includes mucous membranes, neurons, smooth muscle tissue, blood vessels. It's like calling lips or eyelids "just skin". Foreskin's f… | /r/MensRights | 27/02/19 05:55 AM
These guys, at the Superbowl. The benefits are marginal compared to the cost. Foreskin protects the head of the penis, which is not skin, but a mucous membrane like the inside of your cheek or inside of your eyelid. The head of the penis isn't meant to be permanently exposed to air. You'll hear many stories from men restoring their foreskin also regaining sensitivity in their penis. Foreskin also contains many touch receptors like those on the palm of your hand versus normal skin like the back of your hand. Feel the differen… | /r/MensRights | 06/02/17 11:26 PM
