Don’t make friends with men. It’s easier for them to cross your boundaries. If they talk to you be friendly and polite but it doesn’t have to go further then that. No need to exchange phone numbers or for them to be in your dms. I feel my girl friends fulfill my need for friendship fully that there is nothing to gain from seeking friendships from men. If it makes you anxious, don’t force it.

Give The Gift on Netflix a go. Something about the main character just stuck with me. Her patience and persistence is amazing while approaching things in a positive and calm manner. She goes through hardships while still being a very feminine lead. Only show I had the patience to finish. It’s 3 seasons long.

If you talk like that you will make your partner defensive. Instead of making demands just say ‘I want us to spend more time together. I have missed you’ instead of ‘I need you to stop going out so much’. You speak like the former at work, not with your partner.

Never low the bar on your values though. Maybe on the your type physically, or how much money he makes.

Why would you want a guy that dangles commitment like a carrot in front of you? The fact he is able to look at her and see that their compatibility is enough to offer her exclusivity is not beta. It’s a guy who is not jaded and who is not afraid to state what he wants.

I am surprised you are asking her that question. Nothing she did warrants that response. OP if your husband speaks to you like that regularly it’s time to attend marriage counselling together.

What do you mean they try to control the narrative? As in setting boundaries? I don’t need to play games because I am a catch. Playing games distracts from getting what I want. Little advice to you, have values and beliefs and don’t change them for people. Don’t change or lie about them to get a hot girl your are on a date with. It’s nice when a guy is confident with himself that he isn’t afraid to say what he wants even if it means risking losing the woman. It might not work but you will always…

If that’s the idea you are going for isn’t it better to post infrequently then have no men on your social media? It’s a way for men who are interested in you to connect with you without being too available.

Don’t try to block off the emotions. Let yourself feel them. I feel like I get too attached to people too. Trying to act like you are not makes it even harder. Let time do it’s thing, let yourself feel all the emotions. I feel that you need to give yourself grace to stop thinking about him.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
