Totally, there is so much over analysis in this thread. girls are just like guys.. Many of us just hate texting or live lives where we don't want to be in communication with everyone 24/7, even with people we like or fancy. And I'm sure as hell not going to interrupt my interaction with people in my physical environment in order to catch up with my texts.

An average of 25%, not a guaranteed 25%. My grandpa lived to be 89 and smoked a pack a day for 60 years. Do the math on what you just said.. If your grandpa lived to that age, yet the 'average' loss is 25% (not sure if that's accurate?), it follows that someone has died at a very young age to keep that average in balance. Your gdad got an extra ~10 years (assuming life expectancy of 80), so someone died 10+20=30 years early to make that all hold.. So basically for every story in this thread abou…

Sounds like you are super switched on for your age. Good on you. Can I suggest getting over to /r/financialindependence and /r/personalfinance too. Building a solid financial life strategy at your age will set you up for life.

Always hated this argument. Saying that you should be happy because there are people worse off than you is just as stupid as saying you should be sad because there are people better off than you. With respect I think you misunderstand the argument. The point is that those with less probably have a better perspective than you on all the privileges you take for granted, the argument encourages you to put yourself in their shoes and see yourself as they see you.

Dude, for your own sake, and I say this with kindness.. Please hang out in /r/2x or a moderate on campus women's lib society or something , your attitude towards girls is pretty unhealthy, and definitely getting in the way of your success/happiness.

Op totally objectified her and then was overly dramatic when she didn't match up to his preconceptions. Pretending that you don't have feelings and playing stupid little games to try to protect your ego is not going to make you actually happy! Pretending that boy girl relationships are like in the movies where you have these super verbal exchanges and people express their intent in words only is deluded. If you think 'stating your case' and then leaving it with her is less egotistical than build…

Thank god for this post, the only ray of sunshine in a sea of 17 year old angst and praise of failure with no real advice. What has happened to r/seduction?! To everybody else: He didn't get friendzoned, he got rejected. Yes, he walked away, bravo. He also totally lost power and respect, clearly hadn't communicated any genuine attraction during the 'date', and chickened out / panicked in the end by putting all his cards on the table and placing 100% onus on her, with zero warning. A strategy wit…

Reframing interactions so that "I am the prize" was the gamechanger for me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
